hassinator, the RM one is slightly longer and has a more tailored/fitted cut
nice one babyknight. i know the buzz version as being very luxurious in terms of sheer depth of melton but from photos i'd presumed the mccoy longer and indeed more fitted.

Thanks for the kind comments. This peacoat is a reproduction of the pre-WWII U.S. Navy jacket whereas I don't think that the IH peacoat is intended to replicate any specific model. This one is made of 36 oz Melton wool, very tightly woven. I saw the pictures of the IH peacoat on the Forum and wanted to get it, but it sold out too fast so I did some searching and this was the one I liked the best. It is really nice when you see it up close.
I take an L or XL in my IH shirts and I got this jacket in tag size 40. The shoulders are probably as narrow as I could go (I tried it on with the IHSH-64 and it was fine) and the chest measurement is perfect. Here are a couple more shots:

My old man's Buzz Rickson Collection (Christmas presents from me):
A-10 Army Air Force Flying Gloves
ODG A-4 Watchcap (left) and William Gibson Collection A-4 Watchcap (right)He loves all of these items. In the winter, he is always wearing his A-4. He's a machinist who runs a turret lathe

got a rare chance to compare my bz watch cap too a mister freedom and a original one all at the same time today when me and shane went to klaxon howl
the bz is cut closer to the og but i felt the mister freedoms material was a little closer in weight to the original
the buzz was a little thicker
but with 50 plus years on the og's it is a bit hard to tellstill think the buzz is the best one out there
