Thanks!  I actually just ordered a pair in black horse hide.  Almost the same make-up except no toe-cap, and regular heel lift instead of lowered.  Should be about 5-6 weeks out now.

Those boots look fine! I presume they are LTT SJ’s… what leather are they? I’m waiting on a build very similar to yours from bakers only in 10’’ without toe-box. Seeing your build makes me even more glad of my choice.

Opinions are like a-holes but I'm gonna ask anyway.

What do you guys think will look better on a pair of soft toe 6" high bounty hunters?

1. standard heel with 269 soles
2. standard heel with 705 half soles
   Or
3. lowered standard heel with 700 soles

I'm heavily leaning to option 3) because I think the sleeker toe profile will look better with a lowered heel (eg Hollows' magnificent pair). What says the peanut gallery?

Like the standard height the heels, they're serious boots.  you're liking for something sleeker there are other brands that do it better.  Not taking anything away from whites, mine are one of my favorite boots, just sleek doesn't come to mind for me

I hear ya, tigerpac. Thx for your two cents. I too love whites, and want to capture the essence of em. By no means am I trying to make these into Trickers or Alden's that said, the soft toe really changes the look IMO and im just not totally sure if the regular heel hight would look right…

Oboy opinions!    "I" like option 3 and if you want the full Hollows treatment you might consider the 430 mini-lug. But aesthetically you won't see a difference from the 700 soles.

I have gone for 1/4" lower on my BH and SD, and imo it's still a lot of heel, plenty really. And I have a soft toe SJ incoming with the lowered heel and 100 lug.  Part of the reason I went for the 1/4" lower when I first got into this game was my own height, 6'6" - but after seeing it live I think I like it in any case.  Here is my soft toe BH with 1/4" lowered heel - very similar if not same as Hollows Leather.
