Looks (and sounds) great! I was tempted to go something old-school for my first bike (we're restricted to relatively low powered bikes here in Oz until you've been licensed for 12 months), but I ended up going with a Ducati Monster 659. I thought the ABS etc will come in handy while I'm inexperienced. The ability to 'mod' the look of these Monsters is crazy, all the panels come off in about 20 mins and can be swapped for a different colour or design. I've ordered matte black but have got the Pantah homage kit coming from Italy…
The plastic bodywork is probably as far from old-school as you can get, but I reckon it looks pretty great and I'm stoked to have my first bike incoming
Cheers,

congrats MP, be safe & keep us updated

Both those bikes are sweet! The Monster is a large first bike, but IMO the kick ass agility, brakes and suspension make it a smarter choice than most. Congrats!

Crazy ass weather. The North easy is taking all the bad weather. They left us to suffer through 60F in February.

Badass video.

Kind of dumb, but made me chuckle. Also earned a stern look from the Mrs.

Can't forget the second calcuation:
D - 1
Where D is the number of motorcycles/bicycles that will lead to a divorce
-
I have three bicycles and my wife gets a look in her eyes when i talk about how much I would like a mountain bike.
D - 1 and N + 1. It's all about finding equilibrium.
