IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

I did a wash and then started wearing

I've been wearing my 633s for the last few days to break them in after an initial soak, but tonight I put my XHS Devils back on and I was reminded that I may never like another pair of jeans more.
I like switching up cuts and fabric to keep things interesting, but this pair is my denim best friend.

Haha, I'm not hatin'. They look comfortable as hell, just struck me funny because I'm used to seeing Vibergs, Red Wings, etc around the forum.

It's been about 1 month in my first pair of Iron Hearts, no soaks/washes. Here are some fit pics. There isn't very much fading so I didn't bother taking any close-ups. When I first got them I had to lie on my back to button them up, but they've loosened up nicely and are very comfy now. I'm loving these jeans.

^Crazy stacks! Personally I think they would look better with a hem but you should wear em however you like of course.
Had to sell my 33s because the waist just didn't give me enough stretch. Really hated putting them in that box and watching them sail away. I plan to move on to a 34 in that imaginary day when I have money for all the jeans I want…and enough time to wear em!

Yeah, I know it looks a little sloppy compared to a nice hem, but I'm still young and I like the look. Also I think stacking keeps me warm by preventing cold drafts of air in the winter from reaching my ankles. I'm not a fan of cuffing, but I can always hem them. However, I am curious… will allowing the stacks to settle now have any impact when/if I want to hem them in the future?
-
I see no reason why it should. I prefer stacks to cuffs, but IMHO you should hem 2" or so. You'd still have plenty of stacking, it just wouldn't be so over the top. Just my 2 cents, do what makes you happy.

Never have worn stacks or cuffs….until IH...those stacks at six months will be so cool.....I'd keep'em

I personally think the fit would look 10x better with a hemjob and minor stacks. Not a fan of combs that continue from the knees to the hem and make you look small. But they're you're Jeans, so do what you like.
