Yay, awesome! That's an older model than mine I think, I think I prefer it with the exposed titanium. Have you seen the latest incarnation:

Raymond Weil 'Tradition Date 5476' ltd. blue dial.
Elaborate scheme to evade 2-300 € import fee tax… "Heeeyyy it's a birthday gift!.."

And here I was thinking they don't make cases as nice as they used to…

Nice watch Seul, I do like black faced watches.
Should be picking up my new watch on Sunday, pictures when I do.

TTIt's blue, actually… hard to see in the pics... I went for blue cause it goes well with my Sebenza knife and indigo jeans

Glad you like it. It's a lovely, classically simple watch, and I do love the jumbo date window. That's my biggest peeve with my current watch- no date. And a mineral crystal that I've scratched all to hell, but that's a different issue.
Tripleterror- you have a Panerai? Which one? And I'm curious what you're getting to take its place; must be something special.
-
Hey Guys
The Panerai is safe, I'm just adding to my small collection, and it is small!
It's a PAM111, 'F' series
I'm getting an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, 45.5mm case with rubber strap.
I'll post pictures when I get it along with some pictures of the others.

Indeed it is Hectic !
-
Ohh, I love the PO, though I must concede, I like the orange numbers/orange bezel combo better, despite the "hey, look at me" showiness of it. The black bezel is much more understated and versatile, and, I'm sure, a better choice overall. Not that you need my input…
For the longest time I've been trying to decide between the Planet Ocean, the Speedmaster Professional and the Breitling SuperOcean Heritage as the watch of my (realistic) dreams. For the watch of my unrealistic dreams, I'm thinking A. Lange & Sohne Datograph in platinum and black. Good god, it's beautiful.
-
That's weird dude, I've been in the same dilemma, PO or SOH.
In the end I asked my 8 year old son, and he said 'cause 007 wore a PO in Casino Royale I had to have that one.
I agree with you about the orange bezel, gorgeous but less practical.
TT -
Damn, your son's got style! But the blue dial SOH with a mesh bracelet is luscious. It's a tough call.
And yes, Hectic, I've looked at Sinn. I think most of their models are just slightly too utilitarian, though the technical aspects are impressive. Sinn had a copper dial model a few years back that was really lustworthy, but it was 38mm, which is a tad small for my tastes, generally.
Don't mess with my head anymore- you have no idea how many hours I've wasted narrowing the list down to just those 3.
-
By the way, while I'm posting like a madman and shamelessly avoiding work, the PAM 111 has got be be the most beautiful Panny. Classic simplicity and utterly distinctive at the same time. I like the sandwich dials on the later series, though.
-
When I tried both the PO & the SOH on I just could't decide.
That's why my 8 year old made the decision.
