I have these in 31…blessed with no middle age gut
but like these the least of the 3 BB's I own...I'm sure that will change once I bust'em down...just have to give up my 666
-
It's official…these have become my next work pair. I have a few weeks on them since putting down my 666xhs. Enough ink has been spilled on the fit.....I'll post a fit pic when they settle...semi retirement pics of my 666's to follow.

Damn man, that must have been a painful couple of weeks. I went up a size on my pair and wish I hadn't but I was a bit concerned about the waist size in the original run.
-
These are from the original run. I was also concerned about the 30.5 waist and high rise seeing how I don't exactly have a six pac. The top block was more of an issue than the waist, which I stretch with a tool I use in the shop. The stitching on the back pocket gave way on this pair and 666's in the same spot because of a tight top block. I have back pocket stitch runoff. I stretch all my iron hearts before wearing. I'm not that tuff
or patient. I can wear these things and like them but will never love them. On me, the knee is to wide , this could change with time as they should drape more with age. I am ;D. My 666xhs didn't have extra material to drape but softened up nicely. I will to beat the snot out them. I'll get a up fit pic soon.

hello everyone
I just noticed that I did not have a reinforced crotch seam? I thought it was normal because of the thickness of denim 25oz
I saw that the other did.
thank you for your answer -

Giles/forum, I need your advice.
Edit: I am glad it's the middle of the night in the UK and nobody's read this yet… I got the difference in sizes confused and was talking about sizing down. (A size 40 is a 38 and a size 38 is actually 36). Please read below.
Now that my 25oz 666-xhs are really broken in; I am having a problem with the waist being too loose (2 inches) and the thighs still being slightly snug. The waist on my 666s is measuring about a 40 now (for a size 38). This means that my pants are always falling down and perpetual "plumber's ass" when I bend or sit.
Since the cut is more room roomy in the thighs in this MBB (the fit in a 38 is actually a measured 36 and the thighs measure a little bigger than the 666), do you think a size 38 would work? Also, do you think the little extra rise would help to alleviate my plumber's crack?
I was going to try a different cut in another denim, but I love the 25 oz denim too much to give it up. Also the blue arcuates make me really want these.
Please help. And thank you for the advice.

My blue bag of happiness just arrived, and I could not be more pleased. Special thanks to Matt @Winchy and Paula @Madame Buttonfly for helping me sort out my OCD! Perfect job on the hemming too, Matt.
It's unbelievable the difference in color and softness of a pair that's a year old versus a brand new pair. But I think the rise and snugness of the waist will help out my Plumber's Ass situation immensely.
Out with the old and in with the new…
The 25 oz denim is definitely my all-time favorite. Since my last pair exceeded my expectations of durability, I am skipping the soak with this pair. I want to see what happens when I keep these dry for as long as possible.

@fanya okay, maybe I will soak them. Thanks for the advice.
Edit: I gave them a gentle 30 minute soak.
