What a dick…
To all the folks who have taken the time to express their opinions on the recent visit by Secretary Clinton to our facility: thanks for sharing your thoughts. As you know, in New Hampshire, we have the unique privilege of meeting presidential candidates face-to-face and asking them questions about issues that are of concern to us.
Smuttynose is a small business with a relatively high profile, and, as such, we are frequently visited by politicians of all stripes. We have entertained both of our Senators, one from each party; a few weeks ago, I hosted our district’s (Republican) congressman for a tour and lunch; and next week, we're looking forward to hosting an event for a Republican presidential hopeful on the day he plans to announce his candidacy, where I hope to ask him many of the same questions I asked Sec. Clinton when she was here.
Since I opened my first business in the Granite State 24 years ago, I’ve been through seven presidential primary cycles. During that time, I’ve met many candidates from both parties, and one thing that I have learned is that few of them resemble the cartoonish caricatures that the news media generally presents. Generally they are all a lot more interesting, complicated, and appealing in person than the way we see them presented in the news.
People are certainly free to vote with their wallets and not purchase our beer because one politician or another has passed through our doors, but I consider it an honor to be visited by individuals who are seeking or hold public office, whether I personally share their views or not. Don’t expect that to change.

Almost no carbonation. Vulgar, tan head. Oily texture. VERY strong barrel notes in both taste and aroma. Amazing stuff, but not very subtle. Much closer to an American BBA beer than other €uropean ones.

3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze, Nov 2012. Not that old at all, but much more mellow!.. Seriously blew my mind… Incredible...
Struise Imperialist. Good beer. Pick it up and drink it on a warm day. Nothing mindblowing, but solid.

How much did you pay, if you don't mind my asking?..
Well, I bought both of these, an Avery raspberry sour, a 4 pack of a Victory cherry gose, and two Palo Santo Marron's for $67 tax included. I think the Grand Reserva was around $10 and the Liquid Confidential was around $12.50.

Tripel van De Garre. Nearly impossible to find in the U.S.
I would do horrible things for a few bottles of this elixir of the gods.
