Good afternoon gentlemen! I finally purchased my first pair of Wesco Boots. I needed a new pair of dedicated motorcycle riding boots(so these will get some "hard" usage) so I went with their "Boss" engineer style model, with a few custom mods. They are as follows-
Cordovan Domain leather throughout
Motor Patrol last
Vibram 705 half soles
Double midsole all dyed brown
Extra long instep strap
I am very much looking forward to experiencing what y'all have been talking about as far as craftsmanship and high line materials. If any other members would like to share a picture or two and a description of their Wesco Boss' that would be fantastic! Also would anyone know how and where to order custom brass roller buckles for these boots? Thanks in advance and when the boots arrive and some miles have been put on them I'll let y'all know what I think of them!Gorgeous

It looks like brown domain to me not cordovan domain - am I wrong?
Yes sir… It's not the brown domain I think the picture came out alittle dark. Let me see if I can get the true representation of the color. Do y'all sell the solid brass roller buckles for these boots? The instep buckle being 7/8" I'm finding it impossible to find anything stylish. So if you do carry them I'd like to purchase a set.. If you all don't carry them could u please point me in the right direction to secure a pair?! Thanks in advance

That looks like burgundy domain….
The dealer here in the states that sold me the boots said it was Cordavan Domain leather. If it's Burgandy Domain leather it makes ZERO difference to me, I purchased them cause in my eyes they are some beautiful boots that will stand up to the wear and tear from riding.

Well if this color debate is over?! Lol
Can someone please point me in the right direction where I can secure a set(two top @5/8" & two bottom @7/8")of custom Solid brass roller buckles? I heard of a master Cobbler located in Japan that has some amazing/well priced pieces. So any information would be great, this gentlemans website is in Japanese
Or if there are others who make these types of buckles can u please share their contact information? Thanks in advance..

Yes, you are correct. That Logo is something approved some time ago for them exclusively to use:)!
From memory this question has been asked before, @Beerhammer.
This 'old school' logo is actually one used (exclusively?) by Wesco Japan, so that's probably a no for on request.
Care to clarify, @Dylansboss#2

You can treat the Rough-out Burlap as you would our other non-wax leathers. The only thing is, that many have probably seen- the oil and wax to help condition and waterproof will darken the leather. If you are trying to just hide a scrape or a scuff, you may be able to use a metal brush….to comb the leather and see if you can hide the spots. Roughing it up a little more like that tends to help hide scrapes along the way.

Hello!
They are Burgundy Domain, not cordovan, but great nonetheless!

Try this. His buckles are great. http://hukurokuju.com/repair/buckle/# There are other places to get decent buckles as well, but I don't know the details. Like Brass (Tokyo) or Hollywood Trading Company.

@Dylansboss#2 What about those spray finishes that protect suede from water - would that work on rough out without changing the color too much? Would it F' them up?

We don't generally recommend those sprays…..not to say they haven't been used. I stick with our wax that we have made for our leathers, but I can always send a small piece to try it on!
