Time For a New Jeans Cut….
-
UES 400t is another cut that has a strong taper and has the selvedge showing.
-
On another point, I have been looking at the 1955S cut (as I am contemplating doing a run in 14oz), we manage to keep the selvedge ID with quite a lot of taper, so that's good news….
this actually got me to revisit the 1955 and look at the measurements. i may have to try a 14 oz!

Will you the fly still be three button, or go up to four?

The ues 400t was my favorite of all the cuts i tried so far and would be somewhat close to the lifters jeans we're talking about

This…. Three button means the fly/rise is really low and looks almost like a women's jean. Or the buttons are spaced so far apart if you wear your jeans on the slim side it looks like your frank and beans are about to pop the buttons.

I realize all jeans presented on this web site fit everyone's bodies different. It took me a bit to realize this, I started out buying 633 from Self edge, then 634 21 / 23 oz. denim from self edge. I liked them but always felt that I was hiking them up, which weren't a usual rise for me. Next pair I bought were 1955S from IHUK which I should have stopped buying anything from then on. I'm not a low rise wearer, and tried a bunch, but the 1955S and 1955UHR are my favorites. Beetle busters have a rise that work for me as well. My final note, there is a photo of me sitting in an airplane seat that shows more gut than anything, I was wearing the 634B&SRAW, which is the lowest rise of any jean I have ever worn, and will be the last. I look forward to the 1955 14 oz.

So…around a cut like SE 633 is then? They are a perfect taper cut without being too slim.

For inspiration: the resolute 710 is another fantastic cut with a lot of taper, wide thighs and intact selvage seam.
