IH-634S-PD - Indigo 14oz Money Denim Straight Cut
-
Yes! They're absolutely lovely! I ordered them over at VMC Zurich. I got the confirmation from Fredy quiet quickly, but was none the less checking the quantity counter on the IronHeart Shop Page daily until they arrived in the shop! Didn't want to miss them!
I tried to explain to friend of mine what makes this pair of Jeans so special… I guess we all know the facts and we all saw the pictures. But you don't understand these Jeans until you had them in your hands! The weight and the texture ans grip are unique!
Can't wait to wear them (will take a while until it's their turn... )! -
So they bleed a lot…
I got the idea that this denim behave a bit like indigo/indigo warp/weft ("deep indigo", using Pbj naming convention)
Thank you, this remark can be very useful.Another question, if you allow me: do you define this denim "high-tension"?
I'm not familiar with that term "high-tension"denim

First impressions…
The denim color is rich, fabric is nice. It is a lot lighter than I expected though. Which will be ok, as it'll be nice to spend a summer in something that isn't trying to kill me.
So... does anyone know how to get shipping creases out of the legs? Iron them? Turn them inside out and iron them? Soak them and iron them wet inside out? @Giles @Alex

So did any dealers get this cut or did they only get 666?
-
Only 666. IHUK got all of the very few that made it through QC.

Good to know thanks!
I just got the 666pd in yesterday and though maybe I'd hunt down a pair of the 634s but sounds like that's going to be a no go.

I washed the yenim today. They had about 15 days of pretty hard wear. I originally wanted to break them in more, but they kind of behaved like a one soak raw pair, so I decided to wash them in warm water and see what happened. They had stetched out at least an inch, even with a belt on at all times. I took these photos right out of the machine. The inside looks so different wet, and the outside looks like od. I'll take photos again after they dry out. They feel much softer wet, so I'm interested how they will be when dried out and a day or two of wear.

They are dry now. I got some shrinkage in a couple places I'm very happy about. The waist shrank to 36.5". It was 37.5 when new and stretched pretty easily to 38.5. The hem shrank from 9.75 to 9.25. Very happy about that. The inseam went from 30 to 29. With the way this cut sits on me 29" is fine. I washed on gentle cycle with warm water and air dried.
They seem much more like a normal denim after the wash. They are stiff again, of course, but I suspect will soften up after a couple days of wear. I'll let you know.
I want to say thank you to Giles for encouraging me to trust the measurements when I was really dissapointed in the initial fit. These are on the right track and I'm really happy I didn't dump them.

Interesting to hear how much stretch and shrinkage you got out of them. I was expecting this denim to flex a lot less.
-
@Chris I was surprised too. They feel like they're wound pretty tight. The waist was a little loose at first so I used a belt right off. Still stretched an inch. I was actually quite happy they dropped to 36.5, I suspect they'll be at 37.5 again pretty quickly. I'm curious if others had similar results.
@Giles Thanks again for saving me from making a big mistake.
I'll continue to make occasional updates on these for anyone who may be interested.
-
Please do! Thanks.

I bought these just for the fact that I knew they weren't going to be reproduced and I had always wanted a 634 cut where I sized down, I've worn 31 and 32s the beetle buster cut and got these in a 30. I layed them on top of my 32 BB UHR and the looked almost exactly the same (except for the waist I'm guessing). I was going to start these, but I decided to break out a pair I've had in a box for the last 4 years, the sexdb19 a very sexy pair of jeans I've been waiting to do something with. So maybe in a couple years I'll break these out. Hope to see some good fades from other people.

Just wanted to post some updated pics. These were filthy so I gave them a wash. They have about six weeks of 5 day a week work wear. They really get white on high friction areas. I'm very happy with how they have evolved in a short period of time. To be fair a week of working wear is about equivalent to a month of casual wear for me. Here are the results.
