I still have a few pieces….. Kinda like pictures of a crazy ex, just holdin' on to the good times I guess, lol!

My techy, nerdy co-workers have tried to skin me alive for this one, but I', going to put it out there:
(From the perspective of the "average person" that's not a long time Star Wars fan, but rather just a casual movie watcher not interested in all of the minutiae)
As someone who is VERY new to the Star Wars franchise, (I binge watched everything about 1-2yrs ago, and catch the new ones as they come), the original 3 movies absolutely suck, and are the worst movies in the entire collection. There is just no way that any normal person without emotional connection to the series can like them.
Furthermore, Episode 1 is the best of them all, and is made even better when you factor in the (partially confirmed) "Jar Jar Binks sith lord" theory

I watch Star Wars, but I don’t love Star Wars…...i’m pretty dispassionate about the whole thing.

As a body of work, it's decent… But, those original 3 really make it hard for anyone "new" to truly get in to it, MOSTLY because:
For a n00b, the most logical way to watch them is "episode order". The biggest problem with that is not plot reveals in the prequels, but rather how damn difficult it is to watch the original 3 after being spoiled with a decent script, decent acting, and watching the beautiful CG/special effects of the prequels.

And, he actually chose to live there…......
wait.. so did i.. does that make me a….. hmmmm, nahhh...

we all know the proper way is 4-5-6 then 1-2-3. that way, you're thrown into it all without knowing what happened and get mind blown when you figure out things that happen in 4-5-6 happen for a reason.. also i believe i might have said before that i will forever refuse to watch the new generation of star wars mainly because i'm a believer that the sith is dead when anakin kill sidious and the last of the sith died when vader did.

No one in the movies ever said Darth Emo or the supreme leader are Sith. They are just assholes using the force.
When I introduced my wife to star wars 2,5 years ago to prepare her for Episode VII (which was just Episode IV with different people) whe wartvhed it 4 -> 5 -> 2 ->3 -> 6. Left out Episode I because it is a piece of useless junk.

Seriously, you didn't miss anything. @louisbosco I would recommend you Rogue One, though, as it's in between Episode III & IV and a great transition to the classic trilogy. I think you'd enjoy it.
