@den1mhead thanks for the post mate. I'll show Rob your pick when I'm at the Eastman Leathers showroom on Friday. I reckon as it has a few independent parts it should be fixable. I'll let you know.
I think that BR actually use deadstock hardware on some of their jackets. I haven't found that there's a universal issue with the M 65 on internet forums, and as much as the RMC M 65 looks great, at £645 the extra £200 is a push (and a new pair of jeans!)

Didn't @Dstauffer have issues with a RMC jacket? I seem to recall something along those lines, which is why I haven't tried their brand. Also, I would not expect any defects from a brand as expensive as RMC. Again, maybe it was an isolated incident but for that kinda dough i'd want my purchase to be rock solid, like IH.

With a bit of research I found that Eastman and Buzz Ricksons copyrighted Crown and redeveloped them. @den1mhead The design on A2 is a 1942 wire zip pull, the same as is found on their M 65, which is strange as they are different to the talon type zips featured on original 1965 to 1972 M 65s.
I found lots of guides on zip maintenance…powdered graphite on the zip teeth seems to be the pro's way to go.
Anyway, pics of the M 65 by the weekend...IF I get the right fit

Finally bought an M 65 from BR on my recent visit to Eastman Leathers showroom. Huge thank you to Rob for great service. I love everything about this jacket.

Huge thanks to @Stuart.T for sourcing a replacement Crown zip and zipper stop for my BRxWG MA-1.
Here's what's left of the old set up . . .
. . . and here's the new set up installed and fully functioning
Cheers Stuart and Rob at Eastman Leathers

@den1mhead you are more than welcome…It was hardly a chore! I'm already saving for a return visit
P.s was fitting the stopper pin easy enough?

It was straight forward as its an interference fit so it took some force / effort to drive it home
(Interference fit also known as Press Fit or Friction Fit is a fit between two parts in which the external dimension of one part slightly exceeds the internal dimension of the part into which it has to fit) -
How do BR jackets fit in relation to IH jackets? Do you guys typically go with your usual IH size? Size up? Size down? I know this may be a loaded question since IH tops fit differently depending on materials. I think my ihm-20 is the only IH jacket where I sized down to a medium, but my ihj-69 and IHxSE od type III are both xl's.
-
@gaseousclay I have two BR jackets that are both 40's and I have a number if IH jackets that are also size 40's. I'd say the sizing is very similar.

Nice @den1mhead !! I see you pulled the trigger. Tough to go wrong with a B-15.

Thanks @BloodnThunder and you are spot on when you say "Tough to go wrong with a B-15". However, as you can see from the previous post, the jackets real owner is @Black Orchid and I can freely admit that it looks better on Jules than on me.

@den1mhead that's exactly why I won't let my wife wear mine. She'll look way better in it.

Does anyone own an XL or XXL in the regular indigo Buzz chambray and would do me a favor and post IH-style measurements? They're all over the place depending on where you go on the 'net. I mean I guess I own at least 2 IH chambrays but need another one because I'm nuts?

i misspoke on my typically IH sizing. Im normally an XL, not a large. i sized down 1 for the BR Chambray
