Glad this little wall was there!
Perhaps Gorilla Tape can help 8).
Late reply, but I can attest to Gorilla Tape's quality…
When I was doing a 30day field training event in the Army, I blew the crotch out of my uniform pants during a 20km movement drill.
When I got a chance I took the pants off, flipped them inside out, and tapped the tear from the inside.
*Uniforms are ripstop, so the tears were minimally frayed.
The repair was so good that I forgot about it totally...
When i got back home and washed my uniforms, i noticed the tape after removing the pants from the dryer, and it was still intact... Those pants lasted for another few months and MANY wash & dry cycles before I cycled them out of rotation, but they could have definitely lasted longer.

@natehate Shovel is looking awesome! Is that an 18 or 19 rear you're running? That deep burgundy paint job looks the shit!
thanks! thats an 18" rear
ps. its maroon
burgundy is more purple, maroon is more red/brown
Nice Shovel, you did the work by yourself?
hardtail, trans rebuild, sissy bar and foot peg mounts by jason parker in brampton ontario
paint by my buddy jake with some help by me (i sprayed primer and did all the body work) in my shop. very sketchy set up but came out amazing
the rest me with some help from my dad
more of the finish welding was done by jason as well so it looks good
i currently dont have a tig welder and mig looks like dog fart -
@natehate My '75 XLCH is a similar colour. It's bone stock in this photo. I think AMF decided to go a bit crazy when they got their hands on HD. I picked the bike up for a steal just over a year ago with a title and 6000km on the clock.
nice thats rad
plans for it?mig looks like dog fart
back in the day all we had was a mig….. just need to learn to weld with it. (i'm not that good but manage, and "big jobs" I let my buddies handle...)
Was this your first build?
yeah first real kick at the cat
if you go back there should be some pics from various points in the build and even probably some from i took it apart
right now its being a real ass hat thouBike is awesome, have a soft spot for springer front ends,as my first Harley had one. Would love to hear it,maybe you can post a video.
thanks man

@natehate Hard tail, 18/21 wheels, hamburger front drum, K model fork lowers, 2 piece bars, split rockers, I want to make a split tank as well….the list seems endless. I'm taking bits on inspiration from Swing Garage and Iron Chain...a Japanese Style Chopper basically. I like the idea of running a Posa fuel injector, Swing seem to have the secret recipe for running one! You should check it out, they look nuts! @modelk53 on instagram.

Agreed, but so are oil tanks, I can't run a stock horseshoe because of the battery. It's kickstart only so I could get away running a lithium one but I would still need to fabricate a custom oil tank, if I split the tanks I could run oil in one gas in the other, which would open up the back end of the frame a bit.
