Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
Cargo shorts typically sell poorly, too.

I assumed the IH 724 serge camp shorts did well. The only reason I suggested duck was because of their durability. I frequently run into the issue of fabric wear on the front pocket of shorts/denim because that’s where I keep my keys. I know that I could use a key ring or just not keep them in my front pocket, but then again, that defeats the purpose of having pockets in the first place.
But I digress. Brown or Indigo duck would look cool but if it doesn’t make sense to make then I understand that as well. IH has enough on its plate already.

I think the colour would be great, and in principle duck would be superb for the qualities you mention. I’m sure H could make a design for duck shorts work, and I’m sure cargo shorts made of 17oz duck are theoretically possible. However the IH 17oz duck is pretty heavy duty stuff and the pockets would be boxy af for a while before they relaxed.

Ciano farmer makes 18 oz. duck shorts, but not with cargo pockets.
I know nothing of the brand, i just stumbled upon them. I believe they are MTO
fyi- they have a pair of waist 34 (measures 37") in their open stock for $90.
I'm sure IH could do duck shorts, and anything else, better

Time for my annual suggestion: modified type III, unlined, 14oz or 21oz Indigo denim with khaki cord collar.
It might also be interesting if IH took some of the indigo/black denim and turned that into a modified type III. But, that’s probably too similar to the od stuff

A black 21oz type two
A sherpa lined black 21oz type two

Sherpa type II could be cool. I like IH's interpretation of the type II more than other brands (pockets are bigger and in a better position than brands like PBJ, Momo, etc.). Maybe it's just me but I don't care as much about weight (within reason) with lined pieces. I think 15-17 oz or so is probably fine if you're including a lining like sherpa that has a thick pile.
Ideally it would have hand pockets though due to being a cold weather piece. They'd probably blend in better w/ black as you suggested if stitching was tonal

This is CPOish, no?

And we are releasing a CPO out of the 19oz LHT in both indigo and overdyed sometime soon (we are sampling at the moment). Let's see how that goes first…...

@jba:
superblack non fade 888s
Been done: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/products-in-limbo/ih-888s-sb.html
They sold out recently, although not at a speed that would warrant remaking them, I suspect. But never say never.

One day there'll be a 21oz 634 SB (with selvedge) - That day will be great
-
It would be an even greater day if it was also released in the 666 and/or 777 cut and had a button fly.
