IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Here’s a pic of them on. Sorry the most recent one I can find is at the pronto denim carnival..
Definitely no issues and very breathable given Thailand’s humid and hot weather. In fact, they are my go to shorts in the summer down under, which says a lot given our heat. Just a note that my pair were made as shorts and not cut from jeans.. I believe, since haraki made them for a summer event in japan.

Yeah they're pretty legit, and you've answered my question of whether a little cuff might look silly (it doesn't). Payday tomorrow, a week off ahead and hot weather forecast. The writing is on the wall. Cheers for taking the time to dig that out @louisbosco

@LewisStonehouse no worries. glad it was helpful.

Ordered, the 634S(horts) are incoming

Just took delivery of the 634S(horts), perfect fit IMO
Super chuffed!

Yes indeed. Very nicely done @LewisStonehouse . Have you had the turn ups sewn in?
Also, do you know about the personal message function on the forum? Sent you one this last week…

I remember that some type of a fade-retarder is used on the 634S? Would it help to give it a soak/ give a quick wash to get rid of that layer and accelerate the fading?

Not just the 634S, all the standard 21oz. Tje weird thing is, despite (or perhaps because of), the stubborn nature of the denim, when it does fade there is nothing like it.

Patience isn't a strength of mine. I guess my pair of 634S will teach me the hard way but it'll be worth it.

I wanted to get a “classic pair” for the 21 oz denim, so I went with this cut. @neph93 was very helpful with picking it. And while I didn’t always take his suggestions, I very much appreciated the back and forth. @AdamJ was extremely patient with finding the right pair. Thank you both. I think we have a winner in both fit and what I was searching for.
-
Always a pleasure @Wlemon. You know, when you decided on the 634 over the other cut we were discussing I thought about how they would look on you. I saw them on you in my minds eye, cuffed, with a chore coat and that hat. I thought to myself, «That’ll work well on Will». And it really does.
-
@AdamJ painstakingly compared the two, and while there wasn’t much difference, I think those subtle differences make them look great. I wanted something that seemed a little vintage and I think these do they without seeming over the top. I was really worried about the hem width but I think that’s what makes them stand out.
-
I think they look great, @Wlemon - it's all about having the confidence to wear them and not worry if they're the 'trend' or fashion. The vintage look is so cool and looks awesome with that chore jacket (I have an almost identical jacket, by Indigofera).

Yeah, I don’t tend to go with the fashion.
I love my 555s but these are a nice change a pace.
