WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
-
Thanks @Chap its truly beautiful. Here’s a throwback to our wedding.
-
We always go to Butcher for lunch when we are here, and I always gets Boudin. It’s something they don’t sell anywhere up north. It’s a sausage that is a blend of pork, liver, rice and spices that is cooked and then stuffed into casings before being poached.
-
@jordanscollected That looks SO GOOOOOOD. Everything on that plate.
-
I raked up 300 gallons of leaves. Today was the first day I’ve got to work in the yard of our new home. I spent about 5 hours giving it hell. Today ruled so much.
I wore all this Iron Heart RgT while doing it. I’m used to summer yard work in Texas. This fall Michigan yard work is way more chill. Also my wife put a bucket of goood candy out front for Trick R Treat’rs. Within an hour she yelled out to me that a group of teenagers just dumped the whole bucket in their bag and ran. I just laughed because I was once a group of teenagers. Karma.

@jordanscollected Thanks for sharing your weekend. Been great to be able to follow along. That sausage, those pickles and thay mustard is making my mouth water.
@FairlyVague that is a great yard. That autumn sunshine looks beautiful. Despite having inherited a solid dose of melatonin through my ancestry I feel much happier in cooler climes, however I suspect that is psychological rather than physiological. Enjoyed your post.

Took the kids out for a variation of trick or treating yesterday.
No one really did it this year so we went out and for every house decorated with Halloween regalia, they got sweets from our own stash.
That combined with me being terrorised with terrible facepaints seemed to cheer the Mrs and the kids up…..

Well pic nr.4 is easily the scariest thing I’ve seen this Halloween. Nightmarish… Also, it must be a while since anyone drew on your head while you were sober.
Nice one:) I was thinking the same thing.

I’m sure that what you all meant to say was ‘irresistible and deeply erotic’! [emoji1787]

A walk in Jane Austen country.
@Madame Buttonfly and I started off at the house she lived in when she wrote all her novels…
Then did a largish loop of the villages in the locale….

A walk in Jane Asten country.
Great looking area there–-you can sense the history from these pix
-
Giles does of course mean Jane Austen - it was a lovely walk, and we rounded off our literary day by watching the latest film version of her book "Emma", starring Anya Taylor-Joy (Giles's latest fave, which is think the only reason I persuaded him to watch with me!)
-
@twin - we're discovering lots of great new walks to share with you next time you get over
We're looking forward to welcoming visitors to our home again, the house feels pretty empty right now with just me and Giles rattling around (and the cats of course, but they don't take up a lot of room).
