The Dixon Rand could be a lot better with a snap placket, like the Lucky one, instead of the lace up neck.
The Levis one looks a bit too much like a long sleeve polo shirt to me.

Something like this would be so EPIC!
In Denim obviously or in some of that fabled 64 fabric!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now we're talking. Great pic @Brock Proof of concept right there, this proves that substantial fabric can still be functional and comfortable.
Take out that huge front pocket (would significantly improve function and comfort, I'm surprised they chose that design) and the front drawstring holes (which could be moved or eliminated) and it's a winner!
Without that front pocket, and made from a unique IH denim, this would be a wonderful offering to express the beauty of indigo denim. Imagine the fades and falling from having soooo much flowing denim, free from seams and pockets, just uninterrupted indigo!

he wants no input.
My hope is whatever he comes up with is wildly successful and this gives us an opening for suggestions later.

I agree! The front pocket is a bit weird. This was a prototype that Mike threw together. It’s not in production and has t been talked about since… I think the drawstring could definitely be replaced with some side snaps or buttons and the hood is what makes this piece for me.

The Mt. Hood of hoodies. I love it

I would have to dislocate my shoulder to get my hands in that big pocket. Thinking about it is like eye strain for my arms.
I do like the concept a lot. Maybe since it'll be a pullover with less on/off convenience that snaps or buttons, he will make it with the raka raka taka taka Shinayaka denim so there's a little stretch.
Getting bluer in the face as i type

The big pocket is pretty typical of classic anoraks so it doesnt look all that foreign to me. It is placed high on the chest though and with my achy shoulders it would be a pain in the ass to use.

I'm just pleased H said yes, he wants no input. So we can talk until we are blue in the face here, but it'll make no difference.
And talk we shall [emoji16] That’s half the fun no?

i'll throw my name in the hat for a vote on something similar to the Ship John anorak prototype.. it's so bizarre but i love it.
