Digging the way you style up the wabash vest, Adam! I often times find it hard to figure out what to pair it with other than black or white tops, but your effortless style really shows this vest is quite versatile
-
I’ve even worn it with very light stripes and it didn’t clash too much..
It’s hard at first, but I think it works great with colors!

I use this feature often…I think I'm good on the size I chose. I just like to be reassured
-
It appears the measurements of the 2xl vest are slightly wider than the 3xl type 3. So I assume it would fit you just fine (if you're concerned about a 2xl being too small, width-wise).

That is what I observed based on the numbers as well. That was my concern, as my XXXL trucker could be a bit looser in the waist on account of my Grinch belly.
I would like to wear the vest over my t's and tanks over the summer.

Greetings y'all, I just ordered an XXL a few moments ago…I wear XXXL in my Lefty Trucker. I still have time to change the size if I need to... @neph93 you seem to be the vest expert… Penny for your thoughts?
I'd say XL if you are wearing over tees. Chest measurements on vests do not equate to chest measurements on shorts and jackets because the armholes are bigger and the measurement is taken lower down. I use XL shirts and L in vests over a tee.
That being said, if you want a relaxed fit I'm sure XXL will work too.
-
@neph93 this is what I mean by you being the Legend.
You have that outside the box kind of thinking. When I read his question, I was thinking in terms of how it relates to me and usually that means I worry about stuff being too small. I never considered that it could possibly be
2 sizesa size too large because it wouldn't fit me. I don't own either so I should have probably resisted the temptation to comment. But I don't know how to keep my mouth shut sometimes. -
Cheers buddy
-
@neph93 so even with my Grinch belly you're suggesting an XL would be better for over a t shirt?
Really hard for me to say. What one considers a good fit is very subjective. I’m just saying that I sized down, and basing your choice on comparing chest measurements with jackets is not wise, as it apples and oranges.
If you want a concrete recommendation,
now I’ve thought this through, I say stick with XXL. You’re fairly tall so may need the extra length, and the great thing about wabash is that you can wash it at 90C and get really good shrinkage if you need it. -
Fwiw, I’m an XXL in the lefty and a trim XL in the V-02
I could size down but the length would not work, so mine is pretty cinched in the back.
