I use this feature often…I think I'm good on the size I chose. I just like to be reassured

It appears the measurements of the 2xl vest are slightly wider than the 3xl type 3. So I assume it would fit you just fine (if you're concerned about a 2xl being too small, width-wise).

That is what I observed based on the numbers as well. That was my concern, as my XXXL trucker could be a bit looser in the waist on account of my Grinch belly.
I would like to wear the vest over my t's and tanks over the summer.

Greetings y'all, I just ordered an XXL a few moments ago…I wear XXXL in my Lefty Trucker. I still have time to change the size if I need to... @neph93 you seem to be the vest expert… Penny for your thoughts?
I'd say XL if you are wearing over tees. Chest measurements on vests do not equate to chest measurements on shorts and jackets because the armholes are bigger and the measurement is taken lower down. I use XL shirts and L in vests over a tee.
That being said, if you want a relaxed fit I'm sure XXL will work too.

@neph93 this is what I mean by you being the Legend.
You have that outside the box kind of thinking. When I read his question, I was thinking in terms of how it relates to me and usually that means I worry about stuff being too small. I never considered that it could possibly be
2 sizesa size too large because it wouldn't fit me. I don't own either so I should have probably resisted the temptation to comment. But I don't know how to keep my mouth shut sometimes. -
Cheers buddy

@neph93 so even with my Grinch belly you're suggesting an XL would be better for over a t shirt?
Really hard for me to say. What one considers a good fit is very subjective. I’m just saying that I sized down, and basing your choice on comparing chest measurements with jackets is not wise, as it apples and oranges.
If you want a concrete recommendation,
now I’ve thought this through, I say stick with XXL. You’re fairly tall so may need the extra length, and the great thing about wabash is that you can wash it at 90C and get really good shrinkage if you need it. -
Fwiw, I’m an XXL in the lefty and a trim XL in the V-02
I could size down but the length would not work, so mine is pretty cinched in the back.

Vests looks good cinched - it’s like tailoring
I think they look better (subjective) cinched to pull in the silhouette - you will probably be happy with the XXL - just know the shoulders relax with wear or a soak..
Mine has never seen water in 4 years.

Oaktavia I am xxx in most IH shirts and jackets and sometimes xx and I have this vest in xx and it's fine over heavy oz IH shirts but if I were to do over I would have ordered xl.
To wear over a t shirt I think I would need to shrink it unless I want a relaxed fit. I should have ordered xl and then just wear it open or partially open when worn over heavy oz shirts.
In general with IH vests, always size down. Ptp is lower, arms holes bigger, and this throws your usual shirt or jacket measurements out the window. Unless you want a real relaxed fit or wear over heavy oz shirts. To wear over a t shirt 2 sizes down from your usual shirt or jacket size would not be uncommon.
I think xl would be the best choice in your case. I feel this way even though I always error on the too big side of things and love my fits relaxed.

Well I just confirmed with Graham via email to send the XXL over the pond to Maryland. If it's big out of the bag, I'll blast it with a hot wash and cinch it if need be. Will update soon, as IHUK packages send lightning fast.
Just saw the last two comments, which provide differing suggestions. With an XXL, I have sized down one from my Lefty Trucker. Time will tell…
