I dig @Aetas
Speaking of sort of ambient jazzy Norwegian Nilses, heard Nils Petter Molvaer?
-
One of the greatest vocalists to ever break through the upper echelons of popularity. RIP

I gave grandson's first album ("Death of an Optimist") a few listens and enjoyed it. Definitely not for everyone. I also listened to an interview on a podcast I sporadically follow, interesting kid.

Dont know much about grandson at all….but was just digging Tom doing his usual badass thing on guitar sounding like Rage .
-
Yeah, he's pretty great. Will never forget Rage in Minneapolis during the St. Paul RNC a few years ago. I look forward to listening to this when I can, thank you for sharing it.

Looking at the concert scene here in Berlin recently and it looks like things are getting back to normal again next year.
2022 is booked with concerts like before Covid, and no mention of masks to be found.
Saw Rage in Los Angeles for ironically…the release of "The battle of Los Angeles". Loudest show even till today. Saw them a few years back here in Berlin as well.
Any project that Tom works on is usually pretty good stuff. @mclaincausey -
agreed @dinobarnesberlin
my ears are still ringing from the Rage shows I saw. Ministry too!

I love that Just One Fix riff so much. Memories!

For drum nerds… (though the musicality in general is awesome)
Yeah I can totally do this:
Favorite parts are Vinnie's hacking a butt and stubbing it out while jamming, then later twirling this stick back from a matched to a traditional grip so seamlessly around 4 minutes in. His four-limbed independence and effortless polyrhythms here remind me of a story Steve Vai told about him site reading this impossible Zappa chart flawlessly, pushing his glasses up his nose, and popping a piece of sushi into his mouth off a flattened music stand without missing anything. Zappa tossed his sheet music in the air and walked out of the room exasperated.
And RIP to another true master, Chick Corea.

@mclaincausey Thank you! Definitely adding it to the collection
