Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

@neph93 love that knife. The steel is ball bearing steel. Very high tolerance. Don’t fear the rust. It’s just knife fades. Have you mastered the spydie flick?
I have learnt that. Although funnily enough, I learnt it on an MKM knife. I was playing with it one night and figured that if I do «that» then «that» it should flink and it did. I then remembered reading about the spydie flick, Googles it, and had that Gen X superiority rush. It was nice.

Anyone got any experience with a Para 3. Just ordered one with a solid discount on it, never had a knife from Spyderco before
Love my Para 3s
But I find I grab this one most of the time - Smock

Enjoy my para3 as well–-but the scales did chew up my pockets pretty quickly.

Exquisite, @JDelage. I'd never heard of them and so gave the knives a look. Just … wow. Beautiful design and lovely finishing.
I just received a kitchen knife from a San Diego, CA based company called Half Face Blades. I was gifted a fixed blade at Christmas and wanted to buy one of their kitchen knives. Made with S35VN, the blade has been given a black cerakote coating along with a paint splatter look. Truth be told, I didn't want this one (I think that it's functionally wonderful but ugly as sin), but I won accidentally on eBay and … well, here we are. I may re-list it and get rid of it.

Just got this yesterday. I do have to admit to a bald spot on my left forearm. Just used to get shavings and kindling for a fire. Then had to use it for food prep, just to see if it could. Now cooking over the fire.

I used to check my woodworking chisels for sharpness by shaving my arm too

Nice one @Giles. I carry the mini version all the time and it is an amazing knife.
