The measurements you posted seem like an 888 would be a good choice, or at least to my eyes… not sure where you live, but if you were able to try on some Onis, you might be able to try on some IH in person?
Given the stretch of the 21oz denim, I'd consider maybe measuring a pair of jeans you like that you have worn, where the waist is stretched out to where you like and is comfortable for you. Then try an 888 that's an inch smaller. It might feel snug, but it'll stretch about an inch in the waist and some other areas in the top block as well. This could solve the problem of the dumpy look.
634s will definitely be closer to your desired rise measurements in a size 35, but on the lower end at around 11". You can always ask IH what the specific measurements are for 35s they happen to have in stock, as there is shift from pair to pair — you might be able to find one with a slightly higher rise.

If it helps:
Waist: 35.5 to 36
Front: 11.75 to 12.25
Rear: 15.75 to 16.25
Thigh: 12.75 to 13.25
Knee: 9.5ish
Hem: 8ishSize down on the 888. Lower rise, smaller top block. Less baggy. The 21oz OD and indigo both stretch at least an inch, so a w34 should end up big enough after a week of wear.
Alternative would be the 633. That is only available from Self Edge.

Looks like a good ol’ 634 to me. If you get 21oz., it stretches quite a bit. Looks like you could get a size 34 or 35 to stretch in the waist to where you want them.
Dead on with that suggestion, @sabergirl. Idk what would be closer save for the IH-634-XHS. I know that it's 25oz but, looking at the dims, seems to be nearly perfect for what you're looking for, @pechelman. It's just … heavy af lol. The next closest has already been mentioned, the IH-1955S.

Good call with the 633, @neph93

@sabergirl <br:< small="">> The top block on the 634 is very different to the No-Lots/777.</br:<>

Thanks for the recommendations all.
I'm in Seattle, so if there are places nearby that have any IH items I could consider driving. Looks like Self Edge has a location in Portland a few hours away. Are there others people might know?
I'll take another hard look at the 1955s, 634s, and a size down on the 888s and what might be available, but I would like to focus on the 21oz fabric. I will say, the size 36 888's I had were actually 35.0 in the waist (17.5" as measured flat per the video) and I'm not super inclined to go much smaller than that. Probably 17.25" would be about as small as I could button and I'll always err on the side of being comfortable/mobile than having a 100% amazing looking fit.
@neph93 Regarding top block differences, given that the problem area in the rise was right through the middle, exactly as measured (crotch seam was pressing hard against delicate areas), how would I know that a 634 would be any different? Asking honestly.

They appear to be in Virginia. I'm in Seattle, Washington (Pacific Northwest)
As a friendly suggestion if anyone from the web admin side is reading; it would be handy if the stockist page listed the geographic locations within North America.

Ha, they appear to be moving. I had no idea. Def used to be up in your area.

You don't know. And I can't help you as your body shape is central to your issues. However, measurements are not everything as you have discovered. The 634 top block generally has a little more room in it and the rise sits very differently to the 777. I struggle with 777/ NO-LOT top block in the same way you do, but the 634 top block works fine on me.

I understand that, but compare shift+clicking all the links and zooming out on a map if not clearly obvious where they are versus looking at one page that says "Portland, OR" or "Denver, CO" is significantly more convenient. This is fairly common / standard practice for finding retailers or brick-and-mortar locations on other websites. Even better, some are moving to an interactive map view. I could provide many examples. Just a friendly suggestion as the IH website is generally very nice and easy to navigate/filter.

Which of the two denims are most breathable the 14oz indigo or the new 16 oz slubby. Thanks

I have both. The 16oz slubby is more breathable for sure.

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a pair of 666 or 777 SBG. I'm looking to here about ya'lls experience with them.
Because of the super limited stock I'm starting to consider other options in a black pair of jeans that'll fade over time in a slim cut. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks a latte
