Well, everything I've ever heard about Weller has indicated that he's a stand up guy, if not more than occasionally a bit of a wild man back in his partying days.
Plus, working class British musician say something disparaging about artsier British musician? That's never happened…

I believe cunt in the UK isn't as loaded a word as it is in the States. Here it will get you a punch in the face. And if you say it to a woman here you better be wearing armored shorts

True on all accounts
Funny story I always remember hearing about Paul Weller: Noel Gallagher (who we know is capable of being quite the cantankerous twat, himself) said he was having a beer in a pub with Weller. A fan came up to them to chat, which apparently Weller is always more than happy to do. The fan complimented Weller on his shirt, who then took off said shirt, gave it to the fan, and proceeded to keep on having his pints with Noel, shirtless.
Dunno, warms my heart. I love the Cure, too.

Thanks, @Jett129 ; that's Kris Myers on the skins. He's Umphrey's McGee's drummer. They're a kind of proggy jamband who plays metal and other hard rock every now and then. I remember hearing them cover Fugazi before too, "Waiting Room" I think. They're really tight.
What I like best of theirs at least that I've heard is their mashups. Very creative stuff:

I somewhat dislike the Cure and absolutely despise Oasis. A lot of the British melodramatic rock just leaves me cold, though there are many notable exceptions like The The, Simple Minds, and some of the old Smiths material, probably in the latter case because Johnny Marr is just so brilliant he offsets Morrissey.
I was fully expecting Noel to do something douchy to the fan, glad the story took a right turn @popvulture
It cracks me up when Scots call people c*nts, but again… kind of weak as an insult when you think about it?

This one is so fun. Played on microtonal guitars with lots of notes in between those in western scales.

Billy Strings is on my turntable very often @mclaincausey .
Arvo Pärt dedicated to @adam313
Serious storyline behind this video.

Digging the first live album from Jeff Parker. LP hasn’t left my turntable.
