White's Boots
-
Thank you, I have my eye on both IG feeds already!
I tried on some Smokejumpers and I answered some questions, but raised some more…
The length of the 9 was perfect. The crazy high arch creates some issues. I like the feel of the arch placement on the 9.5. On the 9 it sits too far up and hits just in front of the outside of the arch. The guy at The Boot Barn said err on the side of longer so that the arch fits right. Now I’m still torn.

Have you put your foot on a brannock and measured heel to ball? Sometimes that measurement is different from heel to toe. Worth going with whichever is the longer measurement.

I pulled the trigger on the C350 Cutter in Double Shot Burgundy in a 9EE.
I stressed over this. After trying on some Smokejumpers at two different places, going down several Reddit rabbit holes, soliciting hep here and calling Division Rd, Whites and Bakers I’m still only about 80% certain these will work. I guess we’ll see in 2 months. ::)

Still time to change it to 9.5E?

Couldn’t pass up the sale at Baker’s and put an order in for my first pair of White’s, some Ramblers in distressed roughout. Hoping the sizing works out…now just have to wait. Thanks to all the posters in this thread for leading the way and providing so much great information. Looking forward to these boots!

To kiltie or no?

Took the consensus of forum responses and added a different lace

CXL brown and CXL natural. These are an @EastWest Apparel special make up

My first time with the sole and it is great. Feels more solid than the double leather, good grip but no lugs for stuff to get stuck into, bit of cushion, pretty good.

Perfect. Division Rd tried to put me in an 8.5 and I felt sketchy about that. I filled out the questionnaire on the Whites site and it suggested a 9E. I went to try some Smokejumpers on and they all felt awful. So when I ordered from Bakers during the sale I talked to someone who said don’t overthink it, just go with your RW size. Boom, he nailed it.
