IHTL-1301 - Waffle Knit Long Sleeved Crew Neck Thermal Top - BLK, GRY or WHT
-
Hi,
I'm confused with the measurements differences between IronHeart Germany and IH Europe websites.
On IH Germany IHTL-1301 in M is reported for 52,1cm for the chest and on IH Europe it's 46cm which is very tight for a M.

So what are the correct measurements ? Having a 41'' chest I'm hesitating between M and L…Go for an M. Regardless of where the discrepency is, an M will work best.

In this instance they didn't update their chart when we did to match the latest run. I have reminded Shane that this is important, and he is going through the site to match charts on recent restocks in case others were missed.
As a general point, though, always trust IHUK charts over another retailer, not because they are necessarily wrong, but because we have the largest, most efficient team of all our retailers, and are very thorough when it comes to measuring.

“Not because they’re wrong, but because we’re right.”
Agreed and also y'all are consistent about your method.

Ok thanks for the advice !
I will go an M I hope this will be a good fit. -

For a point of comparison for anyone wondering I measured a worn and stretched size large (3ish days) at 23.25" p2p and when new and after a wash and tumble dry it's 20.5". These give a lot and still don't look sloppy. Definitely could size down if not for the sleeve and body length.

Thanks that is very usefull info (and a lot of stretch). And that confirms that I would be good with an M.

Received the thermals today this grey henley and the indigo blue one. The indigo fit is spot on this one runs a little larger but i don’t know for sure if i mind! What do you guys say?

Industrial indigo over-dyeing is very aggressive and shrinks the fabric permanently.
All these Henley’s have size variations within the colour ways due to the nature of the material, but they also all stretch differently due to variations in what dye colours do the grey tends to be slightly larger and stretches more than the black and white versions I think the arm and body length look good. You could possibly go a size down, but I have these in M, L and XL and can use all for snug or relaxed fits.

Nice fit for sure @Heavy_blue

Thanks @Oaktavia in the outtie today

Trying to decide between black and grey (funds don't allow both). Anyone have both and prefer one vs the other? My go to used to be black everything but recently I have tried to look at oer colours. Thanks
-
@Kingsselvedge i have the grey and the indigo one, one thing to notice is that the grey one will stretch more then the black one. Overall I really love the grey one, suits with everything i have in my (ironheart) closet.

Thanks @Heavy_blue much appreciated and thanks for the additional stretch info. I picked up a few cheaper waffle jumpers in the past but it's a false economy as I am always lusting after IH quality. I can def see how the grey would be versatile but with the stretch will prob go black. I usually wear XL in IH shirts. I tried a L and it was a bit tight in the shoulders. I am an awkward shape #dadbod. Did you stick to your normal size or size down like others suggested? Conscious of the stretch. Thanks
-
@Kingsselvedge offcourse, you’re welcome i grabbed my normal uhf size, the indigo dyed one is much slimmer so a size down would be to tight for me, the grey one definitely runs a tad bigger then the indigo version, but i just grabbed my normal size, offcourse you can size down but in mine opinion the tighter it fit the more it will stretch and i prefer a more relaxed fit instead of snug. But that’s just my 2 cents! Anyway, enjoy them!

Thanks man

@Kingsselvedge no prob mate!

I received a new black and white yesterday and noticed some of my existing thermals we're shorter in sleeve and overall length by about 1.5 to 2 inches. I had been noticing they felt short, especially in recent wears.
Anyone with similar experience in shrinkage and getting them lengthened out again? Looks like the suggested method is soaking with conditioner in warm water for 30 minutes and gently stretching afterwards, so I'm going to give that a shot.

@Jbailla2 sounds like the stretchiness of the fabric that they have become longer etc. new ones will slighly do the same, especially the grey and the white ones. Black, blue en dyed version don’t seem to do that in the way the other ones does tho. Overall they all run a little different in size but that is also stated on the IH website in it’s description. I think you can soak then and gently stretch them a little.
