Matt's New Mexico (Formerly Airstream) Adventure

Not much else to do other than kill fire ants and laundry. The former proved not to be very interesting but I wanted you to see our Lavario. It’s perfect for IH gear. Add clothes, add soap, add water, up and down, drain then put clothes in under the bucket and press the bucket down on top to wring out the water.

It was you! So, I’d followed your adventure a few months back, but haven’t been on here in awhile. The family and I are taking the camper to Willow beach the weekend after next and wanted to check it out (I’m in Little Rock, so it’s only about 20 mins away) we drove through today and I saw a badass airstream and was telling my wife that it looked like this guy on the IH forum I’d followed, and sure enough. It was you. Wow, Small world!

@NickyB that’s awesome! I wish we could have chatted but even if you had stopped I’m not quite done my self imposed quarantine yet. Couple more days. I guess we could have yelled at each other from across the street.
This campground is pretty cool. We love our site near the water except for the fire ants. They are off the chain, especially after yesterday’s rain. I guess we should get used to them since we’ll be in the south and SW until next year. We’re here until next Wed though if you want to stop back through.
We’re going to try to hit Buffalo River Natl Pk but it’s huge. Have you been?

Your wife was backing your truck up when We were driving through. I almost stopped and yelled, “you Matt?!?” But I thought I might look like a psychopath. Yeah man, Buffalo is beautiful! It’s one of our favorite places to go, especially in the spring to float the river. Have fun brother! Glad to hear y’all are feeling better. Stay safe out there. People in Arkansas seem to think COVID’s not real even though cases are skyrocketing here.

That’s funny. We remember seeing you guys. Yeah, Arkansas is actually better than some of our last spots. We did see that it was a hot spot though before we left TN and things seem to be better further south.
We may scrap our plan to go the Buffalo River. We thought it was closer but we looked and it appears to be a 2.5 hr drive. That’s a little outside our comfort zone for a day trip. What do you recommend, besides Hot Springs? We already have a few days blocked off for that.

Toltec is where the girls were returning from when you drove by. They had fun. Thanks for the tips on HS. I’m looking forward to checking it out. Our next Natl Park isn’t until Big Bend which is a ways off.
I think we’ll do Pinnacle Mnt State Pk instead of Buffalo River. That looks cool and is much closer.

There’s certainly no shortage of interesting things to see here @jayaytee.
My two weeks is up today and I feel 100% so we decided to check out Hot Springs. It’s definitely a different kind of park. The town of Hot Springs was built around the natural springs so Bathhouse Row's a big feature…
