IH-634-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo/Black
-
It's highly unusual that I have a brand new pair of jeans and I prefer to wear my old ones. This has never happened to me before.
-
-
I was experimenting with different kinds of light sources to try and capture the right color of these. This is a mix of an old incandescent bulb and an LED bulb at the same time.
-
Speaking of hot washed XHS patches versus un-hot washed XHS patches:
The left is mine from 9 years ago, and the right is @Nkwkfld (I treated it with Obenaufs and sunlight to make it so silky smooth btw, no offense just having fun with the crinkled patch). And patches are beer coasters, change my mind…

Cool comparison adam313 this makes me want to start treating the leather on my denim…

So I spilled trash on my jeans. I think it’s avocado not sure. I tried to spot clean it with a rag but it just kept pulling indigo off the Jean so I stopped 🥲You think I should just avoid cleaning this stain further (it’s not that bad) until my first wash? Not sure if rubbing it to much will leave a bald spot…what is y’all’s experience with spot cleaning this Jean? Washing in general?
-
I spilled some resin on my 634-UHR pants years ago and had to spot clean and then wash. Unfortunately, any amount of spot cleaning/scrubbing will result in the uneven removal of Indigo compared to the surrounding areas. It’s unavoidable. The advice would be to blot as much on the surface off as you can, avoiding scrubbing if you can. If you can’t, and try to get the rest of the avocado in the grooves, there will be Indigo loss but it will blend in eventually. Maybe spray some soap on that area (scrub gently with soft toothbrush maybe) and then wash and rinse as you like. Sorry about the trouble.
Here’s a picture of the white area left behind from the spot cleaning/scrubbing. It blended in eventually

Thanks everyone! I’m only on day 19 so I wanted to avoid washing. Otherwise I wouldn’t hesitate to just wash.
Prob best to just go for it though. -
@Clint_D thanks! I found a decent plastic brush and was able to get most of the mess out! and the fading goes on and on!!
-
If you don't already have a pair of these you should get some, and be constantly amazed.
-
man this denim is so ridiculously good looking ended up watching your faded vid a couple times
-
Definitely going to be my next denim pick up, just trying to decide between 555 and 777. I can't wait to see it in the flesh

@RoxRocks86 I'll have to make you a new one when I get a chance. @zhivago it is so awesome especially in the earliest stages when the fadesxare super electric blue.
