Guilty Pleasures…

I’m glad to see there is so much love for animated stuff! I’ve watched my share of Barbie (kids) and love Archer (definitely not kids) too.
@neph93 Meant to tell you that we are certified Phineas & Ferb nuts right now. Kids made me make a Spotify playlist of all the show’s songs and normally it would drive me crazy but they are so damn funny and catchy that I enjoy listening with them. Also, there is a very strong possibility that I will be wearing an adult platypus costume for Halloween. ️ Again, no shame.

There are countless mornings Where I drop the kiddos off at school and forget to turn off the Disney Songs playlists while I drove to work…
Sometimes I’ll catch myself singing sling and change it, but most of the time I just let it ride haha
And JoJo Siwa is a national treasure…

Fountains of Wayne did the songs for Phineas and Ferb. They are a truly underrated band. Adam Schlesinger's death last year was depressing.

Watching too much HGTV. Had the foyer, and WC, loo, powder room, whatever you want to call it painted.

I've been trying to think of a way to articulate this so it's actually legible/enjoyable to read, but I'll probably just shorten it a bit and see if it lands.
I'd say my guilty pleasure is finding something I want, obsessing over it, and finding the best deal possible by scouring the internet or stores to locate it.
Most recently I was looking for a pair of dress/sneaker crossover shoes I could wear to the office and to my side hustle on the weekend that were more comfortable than my J. Crews and could be worn with jeans too. I looked into Cole Haan, Johnston and Murphy, Mephisto and others before landing on a pair of Samuel Hubbard shoes ($295). They are designed in Mill Valley, CA (made in Portugal) which is where my wife and I vacationed in Feb. '19 so there is some love for the story behind them.
I found the style and color i wanted, and then looked into ebay, poshmark, and every stockist for the best price possible. Finally found a store in Chicago that had them at a 50% discount, but only in size 9.5 which is not my size. I then crafted an email and sent it to every other stockist that had my size available asking if they would price match even though the sizes were different.
After a bunch of "No's", one finally said Yes. The shoes are on the way to me for $150.
I feel great pleasure for successfully pulling it off, and guilty as all hell about how much time i spent messing around online for the purchase.

@Giles Iron Heart is worth every penny, hence the reason I have no issue spending full price for your amazing goods.
I do feel that other larger companies mark up their stuff far too much, so they can discount and still profit later. Hence the reason I look for the best deal.
Your response made me feel even more guilty about my pleasure.

Agree with IH and hair metal, @jskidder
Looks great @ROman !
I dig cartoons for the most part, but my wife despises adult cartoons (only digs like Disney movies and such, which I oftentimes don't enjoy) so I don't watch them much. I get that the mean-spirited humor and ADD cutaways of a "Family Guy" or an "American Dad," or the incel potty humor of "Rick & Morty" aren't for everyone, but I don't understand how someone couldn't enjoy "King of the Hill." I don't understand, for that matter, how cartoons can be considered as a single or even a few genres… anything that is possible is possible, who cares whether it's drawn, rendered, or filmed? No reason to be prejudicial based on the medium.
GP: Not gonna say I'd watch them without the baby, but The Wiggles are an Australian national treasure and god damnit those songs do get stuck in my head. My wife and I will sometimes sing them to our daughter like we're the Griswolds.

I made my bed with fresh clean sheets (before I left home), and made somewhat of a tincture of patchouli, oud, tea tree oil, bergamot, and citronella and put it in this Turkish coffee cup. it smells divine in here and I am so happy to be in my own bed after being away for almost three weeks.

Saw Gilmore Girls mentioned in this thread. That's been a long time comfort watch of mine. I've seen it more times than I care to admit…
Also, rom coms. You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle are two of my favorite movies. Also, just recently watched Bridget Jones's Diary for the first time and absolutely loved it
