I had an appointment with my cardiologist today. During the usual odd questions, they asked If I drink alcohol. I said I have a glass of wine with dinner. ::)

My thought exactly..

Italian wine.. montepulciano or a aglianico, a good classic and rich kinda taste

Used to drink a lot more wine than we do these days, and perhaps it's a lame cop-out to say this, but my favorite wine will always be Champagne. It goes with pretty much any food, is also great by itself, suitable for any special or mundane occasion, and it's got bubbles :D. Before I came to accept this I'd always have to preface what wine with what food. Also to reduce the amount of snobbiness behind saying "Champagne", I'm also good with whatever regional sparkling so long as it's dry'ish.

Not really a wine drinker, but my better half recently forced me to drink it in Montepulciano. Let’s just say wine and I found some common ground. And some shakey ground….Apparantly Montepulciano wine is good enough for her to ship 24 bottles back to Colorado!

My favorite wine is beer, but here’s a nice bottle I had recently. From the Coppola family. Francis Ford Coppola - The Godfather. With my year 3 comp pair in the background.

A very nice malbec with the Cafayate valley as a backdrop

The best wines I've ever tasted:
'67 Cheval Blanc
'69 Georges Roumier Bonnes Mares
'59 Mouton Rothschild
'90 Gaja Sori Tildin
'90 Zind-Humbrecht Heimbourg gewurztreminer
'90 Marcassin Hudson Vineyard chardonnay...aaaaaand then I developed allergies to both red and white lol

I like the left and right bank of the River Loire, specifically Pouilly-Fume and Sancerre. A glass of either is easily my favorite.
