Found one of things I never knew I needed in this Japanese horse hair clothing brush by Shoji Works. It is a beautiful thing and feels so nice in the hand.

@Anesthetist I really like that brush. Do you think it would work for hats as well?
-
@natehate hows the quality on that sweater? I’ve been creeping on their site and the prices seem super reasonable.

it's not gonna break your brain perfect by any stretch of the imagination. it has some imperfections. i think that actually kinda adds to the sweater. but it is a nice knit sweater. the sizing is pretty generous.
if youve been thinking about it might as well pull the trigger. i'd buy another. shipping was super fast. -
Thanks, Nate! Good to see you, dude!

I would sure think so, the bristles are very supple. Just be careful not to buy the wool version, it is a substantially stiffer hair.

Not sure WHO purchased this mysterious arrival that landed today, but I love their sense of humor

Picked this up a few months ago because both of my kids love to write and have writing aspirations. Some of my favorite writers insisted on using a manual typewriter and I’m a believer. I learned to type from my grandmother who was a military secretary during WW2. She taught me on an older model than this with glass topped keys, one I wish I still had but she must have sold or traded it along the way. This is a 1954 Smith Corona Sterling. It’s a really fun machine.

I had to look that up, too - but the history of that particular sign is a little broader than you'd expect: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/At_sign

@Daniel-San @tody wow thats a lot of information on “@“ ! I like the document from 1345 that had it. Damn, the fact I knew what “@“ meant before the digital revolution is making me feel old.

Where y@? Is common enough in my life that I am well-familiar with it. Pretty awesome that it dates back to the 14th century!
