SEXIH07IIIBK = Type III Modified Jacket (Long)
-
Man this thing looks too good. Its too bad that my size would still be 2 inches short for me to comfortably wear.
-
You can really see that extra two inches in babyknight's pic above. I like it, but then again, I already have an OD in a type III. Like 'em shor, like 'em long both.
SE needs to get the correct pics up though, else some might get the wrong idea what they're getting for all that $$$ -
I can testify to the fact that the ladies love the extra 2".

Fekking hell, that's a cool jacket…

A few thoughts which might be helpful for anyone considering this jacket. First off, that particular model from the SE photos often looks like he is wearing stuff with sleeves a little short. This exact question came up on SuFu about 2 weeks ago in connection with the IHSH-37 and 38 and I think Kiya said it was just a reflection of that dude's arms. Secondly I am not totally convinced that the measurements on the SE website for sleeve length are correct. I tried both a 38 and a 40 in SENY and no way was the sleeve length difference only 0.1 inches as is stated on the website. It felt much more significant.
I think it's an awesome jacket, the sleeve length absolutely works for me, it's obviously a personal thing where I like having the extra length in the jacket body but certainly wouldn't need extra length in the sleeves (even after creasing).

Maybe this guy's just got chimp arms. My Flathead flannel looked also very short on his arms…(even if FH run shorter in the arm length than IH)

@SimonQ.:
Fekking hell, that's a cool jacket…
..and we see that the sleeves are too short ..
The sleeves aren't too short since sleeve length is relative to the one wearing the jacket. I would size up one if I were this guy's build and it'd look fine. My guess is that hhis jacket's going to be fine for the the vast majority of people that buy IH providing they're getting the right size.

Just got mines (fast ass shipping) - sleeve length is indeed short. BUT I'm only 5 7 and dig sleeve length on the shorter side so this jacket is PERFECT for me. Stiff but not as form fitting as the OD work shirt. Which is great considering the fabric on this thing is thicker. Arms are slim without being too tight at the arm crease. Extra 2 inches makes for much more versatility and practicality when wearing with shirts etc. Been waitin' on this release for half a year and it's EXACTLY how I wanted it to be - Freakin' great garment. Cheers kiya x ih.

Yes, pics please…. I’d like a longer type III eventually. My OD type III is very sort, hits about the belt or so, but I’m ok with that and rarely tuck in. Gile’s upcoming duck type III is going to be a little longer like this one.

perfect fit. looks great… congrats.

markmont, looks good man. thanks for the assessment and fit pic.

those on the fence about copping this - DON'T sleep on this. Love this jacket so much I wore it today in 80+ degrees.

Man… i usually take an IH L in shirts but i am unsure of sizing on this jacket... argh. 42 or 44. What did everyone else go with compared to their normal IH size?
-
S in IH shirts (for a fitted look and layering over nothing more than a t-shirt), went 40 in this. I am thinking 44 for you.
-
Im hesitant on the sizing… selfedge IH sizing seems off right now? Their IH shirts size M now says 18.5 shoulder, wasn't that L before? I asked Kiya and he said no nothing changed. Maybe i'm crazy haha Normally i'd go with a size 42 but the 44 has ok sized shoulders and longer arms (i usually take 25.5 arms?). I think 44 chest may be a little wide though? I'd think a denim jacket should fit a little more slim in the chest? Crap. ***For comparison i also took the superblack vest in a 38(M) and the chest always felt a tad wide for me

What's your height/weight? My feeling is that a 42 might not allow you layer too much underneath it, but that might be fine depending on how you plan to use it.
