IHSB-EXT-NAT - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Natural Horsehide Type III Jacket
-
The "Extractor" - Natural Horsehide Type III
A customer suggested this idea to me.
Whilst I was very pleased with the idea, I was really pissed off that I had not thought of it
Made with thinner horsehide that the bareback, this is a thing of utmost beauty.
So people, nickel or brass tack buttons?
My Lawd is that a thing of beauty…and nickel could be interesting.

Can both metals fade and age like the jacket? If so, I think I'd say nickle.
-
Then I'd switch to brass, actually. With this jacket, you almost have to think about the end color rather than the beginning color.

The nickel is actually nickel-plated brass, so it "fades" to brass on the high points…..
This is one from my 15 year old IH-526J (before we stamped them Iron Heart)......
Amazing patina on those. Im sticking with nickel
