Anyone in the states have experience with getting a passport days before a trip? It’s been a shit show here. Supposed to leave to Japan on my honeymoon on Thursday and my wife hasn’t received her expedited passport. We contacted about cancelling and they’re stating her old one wouldn’t arrive back here in time. Not sure what our options are at this point. We tried contacting our congress person

@sabergirl thank you! it seems like their processes have changed quite a bit. they're so backed up and busy right now. we called last week and their only appointment was in El Paso, TX on the day we leave. We're in southern california. I've been reading a bit more about the passport agency offices and it seems they now have security that ensure you have an appt prior to even letting you in the building.

@sabergirl since February. we sent it in due to name change. if we knew it would be like this we would've not done it and traveled with name change documents. we inquired about cancelling her application but they stated that route takes a couple of weeks getting your old passport back

@sabergirl it was an emotional rollercoaster of a week. multiple calls on hold for hours. we leave tomorrow. my wife drove to LA without an appointment and they denied her entry to the agency. she called me to cancel our flight and i asked her to call the agency one last time. she did and got an appointment in san diego and they're printing her passport today. can't believe it!

Hi one of my kids while adolescents wanted to see how sharp my knife was and did this is there a way of glueing or repairing it. Just a tad pissed off.
-
@Gammaman there is a special leather glue. If you glue leather you have to use a glue that’s very flexible. Otherwise ask a cobbler for any tip since they are leatherworkers.

Ok thanks there ain’t many cobblers left on the high street where I live any more just charity shops and Turkish barbers.
