IH-729-PUR - Cotton Easy Shorts - Purple
-
@Oaktavia It was a long wait, and originally I was thinking of getting two pairs of IH-725. The IH-729 looked to me a bit flimsy base on the pictures (I could not have been more wrong!). But they were just to long. I was considering hemming them, but at the end of the day I just decided I don't want any hassle. Plus the purple color was growing on me in recent months.
I'm so glad I went in this direction! -
They are great shorts..really pleased with mine and perfect for my holiday at the end of the month.
-
Do these loosen up in the waist at all? In-between a medium and large and this could be the deciding factor? Cheers
-
@doubletee I was bang in the middle of the size recommendation for an L (33 - 36 inch waist) and found them to be a tad looser than I expected (but still very wearable!) Based on our chat in the past, where we discussed sizing when trading shirts, I reckon L would probably suit you best! (Unless you've got small waist compared body size or have lost weight recently)
-
@Alex your comment mirrors my experience exactly. After a few minutes my mediums get a lot more comfortable.
-
Thanks everyone much appreciated

@doubletee mine did a bit. I now use the drawstring.

Well, they have elastic and a drawstring.
IMO If you’re between sizes, go up! The top block and waist of my XL feels comparable to a 666 in my usual 38–aka tight. The fabric hasn’t stretched noticeably, and shrank (yikes) in the wash. I know my body type is different from most forumites, but just look at the fits on these pages and you can see that for many of us the east shorts are actually pretty form fitted in the thigh and cuff.

Thank you sabergirl. Here’s some pics of M and L

Will this fabrik shrink with Gentle machine wash?
-
Oh sorry.
Thank you G. -
very relaxed day

I still say large is the way to go! Medium looks a little more form-fitted, but I think that will be less comfy for movement and sitting, etc. I’m probably going to be the minority opinion.
I had a chance to try on a large and medium last year and definitely agree for me going with the large was the way to go. Even with the larges, I notice they pull a bit when climbing stairs to where the mediums would be restricting somehow. Also, while the waist is very comfortable in larges, it's still a bit tight to don and doff. I'm not a big guy with thighs that fit comfortably in most 666 34s.
