@Matt I just saw this post, and there’s a documentary series called 1971,I think it was on Apple, it’s basically OK,but from time to time they have incredible archival footage of prominent musicians of the time and one of them was Marc Bolan and T-Rex. That particular episode is worth it just for that. I was a big fan,saw him once with a band called Slade, and used to cover Telegram Sam in a band.

@weftyarn man, your 888's always look like they fit spot-on. We seem to be similar builds, may I ask how you size yours and how you wear them on your waist?
I love my 777's when a little oversized, but the top block could use a little more room (rise and seat width), but I usually need a smaller waist in a larger size. I just don't know if I could pull off an extra 2" rise.

Haha, thanks mate!! The 888 really is sort of my dream cut. Sometimes I wish it had just a tad more taper below the knee, but that’s complaining on a very high level. The top block just couldn’t fit me better.
For me, they sit exactly on the height of my hip bone, but that may not be the best for you. Bodies are different... And how I sized them: I was able to try on my very first 888 in store to find the perfect size. That pair now serves as a measuring reference for any other 888 that I order. Compared to lower rise cuts I recognized that I can get away with a smaller waist (1-2cm). Hope this helps.

@weftyarn sure does, thanks buddy! I may have to gamble and try one out sometime. I typically wear mine just below the hip too, so I was afraid that would result in a saggy crotch/butt, and baggy thighs, which I'd like to avoid, but it seems to work out in your case.
