Went to see performance art at Southbank Centre. This piece was by Paula Garcia from Brazil. She has three stagehands help her put on a suit of rusty magnetic armour, the chest plate of which has microphones in it, and then the stagehands throw large nails at her for as long as she can stand it. The sound was full of bass and it was a beautifully intense spectacle. I've studied performance art for over ten years but nothing has been programmed on this scale for years in London so it felt good to be around work like this again. (Not pictured) In the Royal Festival Hall, Carlos Martiel was tied naked to a flag pole with a large union jack waving above him. (Also not pictured) Cassils performed their well-known work 'Tiresias', where they stand naked behind an ice sculpture of a classical Greek male bust, defying the binaristic understanding of gender. Strong interventions in the space of Southbank.

Finally getting around to some of these pictures from my recent trip to France. We went to Nice and it was so much fun! Really cool town with a great vibe and lively nightlife!
Sorry in advance for the picture overload!

Had a nice walk today... -
Great photo @pechelman ! You just reminded me that I never posted a photo from my visit last week!
Had a great visit and really expanded the IH wardrobe. Two UHFs, black 21 oz type III, a black printed tee, 14 oz 666, and my first pair of indigos (634s)
The shop is incredible and everyone was so kind, highly recommend everyone to get out that way if you can. -
@pechelman yeah I got caught up in the rest of the trip and totally spaced on it.
We made it out there and actually took the bus (which now has signs/monitors with English on some of them). It was great to get out to that area and be close to the mountains, can’t wait to be back again soon (I hope).Sadly we are back home, dealing with jet lag and slogging through work again
have a great rest of your trip!
