IHSH-369-GRY - 12oz Slubby Heavy Flannel Herringbone Check Western Shirt - Grey
-
@Giles I never realized how common this is until I saw the numbers.
It seems like most retailers don’t penalize it and some encourage it with free return shipping.
I guess it’s hard for small retailers to avoid it when there is the right to return and expectations are set by companies like Amazon.
-
Unless I’m missing it, it doesn’t talk about fades … can someone clarify?
Will this shirt fade beyond what we see here?
Thanks

It looks like the P2P and shoulders are bigger than usual for a size L, is it to prevent more shrinkage with this new SHF fabric ?
-
@Raisinoux They’ve been treated exactly the same so we should expect similar.
I will do a shrink test with a UHF and SHF in the same wash and post the dims for clarity
-
Thx, i got the anniversary one from IH Germany and they adviced to size up, because it's also a SHF i thought you had resized this batch to avoid "sizing up" issues ^^

Thank you Adam, appreciate this information.

@AdamJ I know this is one of the last UHFs of the season...does that mean the Work Shirt version is still on the table or will this shirt only be available as a Western?
-
@SaddleSC It's still coming. You can follow the work shirt version's progress here: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/topic/13850/ihsh-375-gry-12oz-slubby-heavy-flannel-herringbone-check-work-shirt-grey

I've found that quite a lot of (if not most) retailers in the smaller/boutique realm have gotten rid of free returns and are just doing store credit. Makes perfect sense.
-
@AdamJ The Work Shirt will be available tomorrow also???
-
@popvulture one of the reasons I prefer to buy here.
I do try to limit returning items, but it’s nice to know if something doesn’t work out, you can.
I’m happy to pay the return shipping, and I DO realize there is more to the cost of a return than just the shipping, which is why I don’t abuse the privilege.
-
@AdamJ Are only the heavy duty snaps available for pimping on this slubby beast?
-
@popvulture In the EU and UK, customers have the right to return for 14 days for online purchases. I’m not sure how restocking fees come into play.

I really don’t like store credit. I’d much rather pay a bit to return something than have a large amount of store credit that will disappear if the store goes out of business before I use it.
-
I definitely don’t like store credit — I’d much rather just eat the shipping and return an item that doesn’t work if given the option. I especially get why small stores over here have started changing their policies, though. IIRC when Standard and Strange changed, they said it was because over half of their sales ended up being returned, and their small staff was swamped with having to deal with all of them. Anyway, I’m glad some companies still offer actual refunds. I know that doing so can really be a deciding factor sometimes, but I also try to keep in mind that it’s tough as hell to run a small business and they’ve gotta do what they’ve gotta do to hang on.

@chuffed4cuffs yes, and the relevant size Good Art snap
