@Oaktavia amen. I'm super psyched I was able to snag an MB pair but it bums me out I missed out on the BBs.

Add me to the list of people who can't fathom why the XHSBB didn't do well. It was actually my first piece from Iron Heart, and as I thought I might as well dive in with the coolest pair they made, it had to be XHSBB.
(I got the sizing all wrong at the time, too small, typical rookie mistake. They fit great now though, if a bit on the relaxed side. See, this denim even helps you lean down )
Everybody loves SBG and everybody loves XHS, yet still these didn't sell?

I am completely new to both iron and selvage denim. I found the jacket I’m looking for online, the seller has it listed as a size large. But the pictures that go along show a size 40 in the jacket tag. Being someone that sold Carhart for almost 2 decades of my life, a size 40 to me would be a small or medium. So I was wondering if the size 40 is not a size 40 chest? So in fact would be a size large in an iron heart jacket? The price is pretty good, so I don’t wanna miss this deal if I can snack it.

@goosehd thank you so much. That’s exactly the information I’ve been googling for hours, but could not find.

@goosehd yes it’s a IH-526J-142ib. so I could see the specific measurements for the size large. But I couldn’t correlate the tag number with the actual size. My mind was telling me it was a 40 chest, from selling jackets for so many years. A 40 would have been about a size medium in a Carhartt. The seller online has not replied any of my messages asking for measurements so I could double check it. But before I spent the money, I wanted to make sure I was getting the correct size of of the jacket. If he just flakes on me altogether I’ll buy one from the site, but if I can save a couple hundred bucks I might as well save a couple hundred bucks.
Thank you so much for the help. I was trying to Google for so long that I was going insane. I didn’t want to sound like such a noob asking probably very basic question on the forums. But it finally came to that.

Hey all, relatively new to the world of denim and had a question about a couple of IH pieces I own …
First up, the 634S. I’ve been wearing these for about 6 months straight (no wash or anything). Here in Canada, we have been hit with some very wintery weather, so I’ve been trudging through snow (think dog park, hikes etc).
For lack of a better description is this type of indigo “wear/fade/? normal? I assume it’s from just getting the bottom of the jeans wet from snow continuously? With a wash, will the brightness sort of dissipate?
Also, the same jeans have transferred a lot of indigo onto my IHJ75 parka. I don’t mind a bit of this, but is there something I can use to wipe some of it off.
Thanks for reading and please don’t thrown me under the bus for asking these questions.
Last, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section … Brian

@Brandrea Don't apologise for asking questions man! No such thing as a stupid question and all that. We all have to start somewhere too
As for the the jeans, I suspect you're spot on with the idea that it's the snow and whatever attrition that comes with it, has led to the speedy fading at the bottom of your leg. I don't think a wash will remove the fade. My best advice would be to wait for the rest of the denim to catch up in the fade department and embrace the contrast!
For the parka I would try a warm damp cloth and dab/spot clean it with a light detergent. I cannot speak of the effectiveness of this method though I'm afraid as I have not had to deal with crocking on lighter fabrics.

It's possibly dried salt, I'd soak them in warm water, agitate for a few mins and drip dry, if it's salt, most of that will go away, if it's a real fade, then it won't
