@GraemeE I was a huge Ferry/Roxy Music fan. I was still living at home in 1978 when The Bride Stripped Bare album was released. My mom was a little prudish and was not happy at all when I brought it into the house!
She was even more offended when she saw the cover of the Country Life Roxy album -
@68degreesorless I usually go through discogs. But I’m going to check out some of Mo’s recommended site now too!!
From what I’ve read, the 70’s era Japanese pressing can be among the best because of the virgin vinyl they used back then. While the states was already recycling older vinyl pellets by then, Japan was newly developing their pressing plants. Hence the dead silence the 70’s era Japanese pressings are known for. I wouldn't doubt for a second that they still apply their famous tenacity to details into modern pressings either. I have Meddle-The Wall Japanese first pressings and they are other worldly!! -
Thank you for the recommendations and info @Kasi and @Mizmazzle

Harumi has returned to me.
My buddy found a NM copy on discogs without the sleeve so he let me have the VG copy (sans sleeve) that I had picked up for himhttps://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum//post/771609
@Aetas knew back then that I should have never let it go to begin with

@mclaincausey sick dude. Have you listened to any of the other Adrian Quesada projects?
Echocentrics are really good
Brownout is badass!!
I’ve got all of those on vinyl. Excellent sounding pressings too! -
Thanks guys. I’ve only heard Grupo outside of Pumas but will definitely be checking out all his other projects!

You're right @GraemeE and I was mistaken. Oxygene was released in France End of 1976 and worldwide in 1977. I got it from my first school exchange partner (from Portishead near Bristol) in 1981, then I was 13 yrs old. It was different to what I was hearing at that time (probably ABBA, Elton John and the Beatles), but I liked it and it broadened my horizon. Always kept it because it did something with me, and it has this amazing cover art.

@GraemeE said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):
Last of the snow and ice is melted so getting spacey tonight
Klaus Schulze and JMJ afterwards. Great tunes for a spacey night @GraemeE !
Would have pulled out some
‚Stratosfear’ - Tangerine Dream afterwards.First time introduced to Klaus Schulze, I was a teenager and couldn’t hold the breath for the time a track of him used to take.
But I can nitty-gritty remember hearing him on a nighttime car trip from Italy back to Germany years later. Cassette after Cassette ran through the car stereo and landscapes and time flew by.
From there on everything with the label ‚Dark Side Of The Moog‘ has my attention. Here is ‚Mindphaser‘ (1981, one of the last outputs of his former label ‚Brain‘)
‚Dig It‘ from 1980
‚Mediterranean Pads‘ 1990Which I had something from his first ten solo albums.
