The Red W
-
@Oroccoco I know I'm late to this thread here, but isn't IH already "stealth wealth" by conception? I've never had anyone but a handful of haute-denim fans over the years even notice. You really do have to know what to look for and the little pocket tab isn't much of a tip. Even if someone could read it, 99% of people wouldn't have any idea what IH is. I know this is all just personal opinion and obviously I respect the tag removal completely, I'm just more curious about the stated objective of inconspicuousness.

I'm all for the "red W" on jeans or shirts. I think it's a nice wink to the cognoscenti.

I have a saved search for “Iron Heart XXL” on my eBay account so usually see a couple of Japanese sellers list a new release about a fortnight before they go live on the UK site. Interestingly the 380 dobby sashiko work shirt has been listed (so I’m guessing we can expect that here soon?) and it doesn’t have the red W on the pocket… is this a fake listing or is there a reason the Japanese versions won’t have the W?

@Alex thanks for the info!

@Alex fantastic! Thanks again
-
@Alex Does the circle in column 2 indicate the Red W is present, or you don't know yet?

“W”hat a joke…

@Oroccoco I've searched but been unable to find an answer. What is your process for removing those tags? How do you cut the tag to the seam without cutting the seam? I'd love the stealth look of no branding but I don't want to ruin a $500 shirt!

@goosehd Right, that much I understand. I must admit that I don't quite understand how to remove the tag from around the stitches without cutting the stitch. Seems next to impossible, but I realize it's not because people do it.
