Wax Treasure (Vinyl)

@Mizmazzle for me the crowds sort of defeat one of the main draws of going into a record store in the first place....being able to unwind and de-stress
-
@GraemeE we listened to this album driving from Bryce Canyon to Navajo Nation starting from the stroke of midnight. Few cars during that trip, just our company, the music, the stars, and the blanketing darkness. I’ve heard it prior but my friends were floored. “I felt like I left my body”
-
@Mizmazzle my best experience for it was being in Taos during it. Shoulder season there. Got some goodies with zero stress
-
@Mizmazzle yup!

@GraemeE blast from the past. I believe I bought this on tape when I first moved to Portland ~12 years ago! I’ll need to dig anround and see if I can find it.
-
@Inorganic that tracks since I believe the guy who put out the series is based here.
I think this one is the most recent release
-
@GraemeE yeah my wife’s friend was dating the owner of Mississippi records at the time and he gave it to me for a bday present (along with liquid swords lp….!!!). Eric has brought some great music back to life

@GraemeE
Definitely ‘Spirit of Eden’ is my favorite out of the five.
Love the cover designs James Marsh did for Talk Talk.
But even in all his denim, Mark Hollis was and is a stranger……..perhaps I like this fact most about him. -
Today I got a call from my mom…
‘Boy I found a record. Looks like it belongs to you!’
Where did you find it?
‘Sticking in a book from Maupassant!’The original MinorThreat Single “Salad Days”; traded in 1985 from a friend and later music journalist for Vision and Galore (German music magazines).
