IHWE-JMHH-BRN - Iron Heart Int'l x Wesco® - 8" Maryam Horsehide Jobmaster® Boot

Thanks. So nothing changed in the meantime. These boots would be handy right now, with snow in some parts of Europe.
What about the last?

Thank you very much for the information Alex. I'll keep an eye on these and hope that they'll be ready for the next winter [emoji3]

How stiff are these boots out of the box? Will they be an easy break in or will they require some serious effort? Either way they are a beautiful pair of boots!
-
@Denman-John I wouldn't say they're too brutal out the box, and the smoothness of that veg tanned horsehide definitely helps the initial comfort, but they will still need breaking in like any good pair of boots before they hit that peak 'daily driver' comfort that you want
-
I am still in the market for a pair of boots and wonder how these will look after some wear ? Also how is this sole for daily casual wear? I walk on concrete and tiles a lot and never had a boot with a lug sole
Maybe @Ross can help?
Also how about the sizing, have zero experience with wesco... Wear a 9.5 in M43 by John Lofgren and 10 in Red Wing Moc toes.
-
@FlavourFade These will be a bit different if you're not used to a lug sole but they shouldn't encounter any difficulty on hard surfaces, although you might find they wear a bit quicker due to the friction being applied to a smaller surface area if that makes sense - but we're talking over the course of years..
As for sizing i'd go with a 10D as i find Wesco sizing broadly similar to Red Wing sizing, if you've ever found yourself struggling for width in your boots then consider the 10E.
You can always shoot me an Email at Shop@Ironheart or DM if you need any extra help.
-
@Ross thanks Ross! I already wrote an e-mail to the shop and Graham suggested a 9.5E
I wear Iron Rangers in 9.5d but they are very snug, can't wear them with very thick socks but they are not causing pain.
My Lofgrens in 9.5 are roomy I would say, I think this is a perk of the munsoon last?
But for Moc Toes I definetely need a 10
-
@FlavourFade well, if you've already discussed in detail with Graham and he went with the 9.5E then i'd support that as a good place to start
-
If anyone can comment, if I wear a 10.5E in mister Lou what would be the best size to go with on these?
-
@hgering27 So, I find these a little more roomy than a MrLou - I can generally get away with the same size (especially with thick socks and lacing them up plenty tight) but i'd consider maybe trying going down to a 10E if you're wanting a slightly more snug fit
-
I had my mind set on a Wesco engineer boot but with a wide foot and high instep and limited wide options available here and everywhere, i ordered this beauty jobmaster collab…hoping they fit true to size and the open blucher accommodates a little room for width and wintery socks. Will post a pick with them and uhf 403 next week
