I disagree with that. It’s not a cumulative award: you either deserve to win each game individually or you don’t. If the thinking is that one would think their chances of winning are greater based on how they’ve played, I’d agree. But they play the games for a reason.

@mclaincausey true, although that will be the narrative that is pushed. It's the beauty of knockout games. In a best of 5/7 I'd go with Spain, in an elimination game anything can happen. So fingers crossed for an England win.

@mclaincausey with the way offsides has been called during the entirety of the tournament, I wasn't hopeful it would've gone the other way. absolutely gutted
