Tattoos

@jerkules Welcome to the Dragon Club! This is at least the 3rd dragon tattoo posted here this year - 4 if you also include my sons’ dragon tattoo. Wear it in good health!
-
@jerkules those look sick.
-
@jerkules Nice trad tattoos!
I thought your arm said ‘Finally’ there for a moment before realising my mistake!
-
@Mister_Brue “finally” would be pretty hilarious across a trad grave tattoo
-
@alexxedge thanks man! I feel lucky to have found a studio who specialise in the exact style of tattoos I like fairly locally. They have good rates, tonnes of flash, and are solid dudes to spend a day with.

Good amount of tattoos, not completely covered but enough that I don’t know how many lol. This Bart/lisa one is my most recent, from back in July when my sister and niece was visiting from Maine. Got us matching sibling tattoos, we got another match years back for our uncle Dave RIP. Most my work is done by my friend/tattoo artist, haight street tattoo and piercing. Really great shop if anyone visiting sf, stop by and ask for Tyler . Itching get my hands done soon, and then start my back eventually. -
@meatmarketdenim1 nice man! My new school is super lax with the tattoo culture. I’ve mentioned to my wife getting my hands done. She loves tats. For some reason she hates the hands though. How rebellious am I feeling? That’s the question.
-
@Mizmazzle I want to do my hands eventually. I work from home for now. But, not sure how they’d react if I showed up to our once a year all team meeting with my mitts done.
-
@Mizmazzle hmmm that’s tricky, they say happy wife happy life lol. But I’m sure she would be stoked on them if saw how much you loved it. My wife is heavily tattooed as well. Does your wife have any?
-
@meatmarketdenim1 yup! My wife has quite a few herself. She would probably be fine with it if she knew it was important to me. But like you said…happy wife! Im not really sure I’m ready for that myself to be honest. But I do dig hand tats.
-
@alexxedge go in there and slam that fist on the meeting table and say, “This is how it’s going to be!!”
Haha -
@Mizmazzle @alexxedge @meatmarketdenim1 hand tattoos change a dude that's fer sure. After I got my hands, neck, head and face done, folks started saying, "I like your tattoos," to me even when I had long sleeves and pants on. It was confusing at first because I would only get comments when I had more skin showing before all that, haha.
-
@Mizmazzle “look at these. Give me a raise!”

Lol funnily enough, I have gotten a few raises at work following my visible tattooed areas. Not connected of course, but this day and age is different than 10-15 years ago. Tattoos used to be a much bigger deal as "job stoppers". Two of my principals have visible tattoos on their forearms and always get excited to show me their new ones.
-
@Oaktavia completely agree. My director is constantly asking for picture updated if my back in our 1:1s. Glad to see workplaces adapt to the idea that tattoos don’t matter for work.
-
@alexxedge for sure man. I actually get a bit relieved when I see other teachers and staff with tattoos, especially over the last five years or so. Don't get me wrong, I love being heavily tattooed, but I didn't always like being the only one. Last year, a new teacher's fun fact about themselves they shared at our back to work meeting was that she had 20 tattoos. It's nice when it's less surprising for folks to see my ink these days. Although I know I'll be answering the same questions about my tattoos over and over again. That does not go away.
