When I signed up here waaaaaaaay back in 2011 and attended my first (I think it was IH’s second) party, a few things were different for me.
My son was 6, he’s now 18.
My waist line was two tag sizes smaller.
I had no idea how to size or shrink my jeans.
My work was a whole lot easier, and much less time consuming. It’s been great reading the forum this last couple of days, awesome to see the brand and community thriving and still growing and amazing to see and read so many people getting the same welcome, laughs and love after all these years.
I didn’t sign up when the forum changed, life got in the way, I couldn’t wear denim all the time like I used to, people I knew didn’t post as much and I drifted away from the whole denim scene.
Reading the forum, looking at product pages, looking back on old posts has made me feel like a man out of step with time. That’s not a bad thing at all, just great to see how much Iron Heart and the community has grown since those early days.
The ramblings of an old denim head this conclude

@Megatron1505 I've seen a lot of your posts browsing old thread whilst killing time at work.
Found myself wondering what happened to the old timers that were clearly such an integral part of the community way back...
Nice to see your name pop up again, and I'm glad you're well!
See you in Gosport I'm sure

Thanks mate, I’ll see you there

@Megatron1505 You were already hear and quite active by the time I signed up,just a few weeks after you. I think I might be the only one still actively around from those days. Always glad to see your name pop up. Similarly to you my son was 17,now 30,I’m retired, but still wear denim every day. Maybe next time you and Stu venture to NYC, I can meet you for a beer.

A while back, @mclaincausey snail mailed me a hard copy of a RRL catalog he had. I just found this sticker in the floor of one of my closet. I don't remember seeing it before, it must have fallen out at some point. Dig the art, thanks dude! It's on our mini fridge now.

@goosehd I think Asheville got hit worse. I'm OK, lots of wind and rain, flooding and blown over trees.

My wife wanted a new reading chair in the living room. I was promptly informed that I am not allowed to sit on it.

@chrisjohnnick maybe if you get one of those new white cord shirts she’ll reconsider.

@chrisjohnnick this is a prime candidate for a "things you've ruined with your denim"

I had a recent addition to the items I’ve enhanced with my denim after one day of wearing the bibs.
Indigo new balance

My sister-in-law's husband randomly texted to say that one of his mates is the FW24 model, and sent me the image of the nylon bomber being modelled. I sent back a pic of me in said bomber saying "you'll never believe what I picked up last weekend then".
Anyway, random example of 'small world'.

Shopping for food this evening walking around Woolworths saw the red W on a pair of denim for the first time over here
Didn’t stalk the guy or anything and bumped into him at the deli section
He moved to Oz 10 years ago and was from Bristol was a odd encounter as I’ve never met anyone here with anything IH
Hope his kid enjoyed the smiley fritz
