IHSH-340-OD - Ultra Heavy Flannel Classic Check Western Shirt - Red Overdyed Black
-
@landrunner33 thanks dude

Small contribution to the fading potential of that shirt, worn a bit during summer with a backpack, showing signs of wear in the bottom of the back outside the flannel AND inside
Then worn as a pajama since the temperatures have cooled down.
It’s just so cozy to sleep with and not that warm, i never woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat actually
-
@Raisinoux looking good dude, it's so rad these OD UHFs have this fade potential. I'm looking forward to continuing the same with mine.
-
@Oaktavia @Raisinoux Just catching up on this thread. Actually nuts how these fade, but still the only real colour is the stitching. Thinking I should get one now.
I’m wondering how much (if any) crocking there was at night?
-
@Mister_Brue I hope you can find one in your size, I haven't checked to see if they are still in stock. I do not recall any OD crocking, not sure if that is a thing. But my sheets are dark blue anyway.

Probably for the best
-
@Oaktavia I’m not sure if it’s a thing either, so I thought I’d check. I never imagined the pattern would show through so much after just one wash. It definitely means picking the right one.
-
@Mister_Brue I think smaller sizes are still available, my sheets are light blue and didn't notice any dye transfer from my side
-
Just picked this up today at BRUND!!
Super excited about it!! -
@UH Great score!
-
Dang, would love one of these in XXXL
-
@Tago-Mago wore this one today and loving it!
-
@Oaktavia love it dude. Crazy how much its fading but my eyes arent seeing any of the red LOL, i'm pretty sure i'm wearing the un-overdyed version of this shirt today and i just cant see the colors. badass regardless.
-
@WhiskeySandwich I used to overdye my vintage shirts when I was in my early 20s and the black would turn red shirts to a yellow/golden color. It reminded me of those right when these dropped. I thought to myself I guess I was overdyeing without realizing the process had a name. I just wanted my clothes to be black!
The reds have turned into a mustard/ochre with these. The only red that remains is the thread. Even in the areas where the dye has faded, I have to look closely to even see orangey hues.
-
@WhiskeySandwich totally agree. If it wasn’t for the red thread, would never guess it’s an od 340

@Oaktavia Wow!!! So that is how they are going to fade... Wow!!!
Yeah man, this is after maybe half a dozen washes and wearing primarily at home and as a pajama shirt for 7/8 months. Pretty fun to fade a flannel, I feel silly typing out that sentence but here we are.
