So I was listening to a random selection of songs today and a thought came to me: what's the greatest song that was never released as a single? Not sure if we had this discussion before, but would be interested to hear your thoughts. Strong contenders imo: Led Zeppelin - Stairway to heaven, Pixies - Where is my mind, Pearl Jam - Black

@Tago-Mago Definitely an interesting question. Some of the more ambitious/longer songs were edited in order to fit on the 45 format. Can’t imagine you could do that with Stairway.

@Jett129 100% agree. I hate the edited version of Heroes for example. Or can you imagine Bohemian Rhapsody in a radio-friendly 3 minute version? Unthinkable, but then again that was released as a single at a whopping 5:55 and it worked
