Watches - another OCD problem
-
@ddtrash I'd agree that a recreation of the Flightmaster would be far cooler. They sold the Z-33, which had a version of that case (albeit in titanium), but that wasn't a great success.
I'm also surprised that Omega didn't use their 9920 calibre with the Spirate system, instead of the 9900. They announced the technology two years ago, but it's not cropped up in anything other than one Speedmaster to date.
It's not a bad watch in itself, I just think that it could have been a lot better.
-
@Graeme I would gladly rock a Z33 if I found one at a decent price. It’s quirky and completely unnecessary but I love it.
About 15 years ago, I had the chance to buy an original flight master, but couldn’t really swing it and I regret it wholeheartedly. I like the pilot edition, but I like the FOIS better

@Anesthetist I think that we've all got a long list of watches that we regret getting away.
(Mine include a Jaeger LeCoultre Geophysic, Hermes In The Pocket, and a F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu that I couldn't afford.)
I'd also be tempted by the First Omega In Space over the Flight Qualified. That's a very pretty piece.
-
@Anesthetist I agree, the spacemaster flight with the bright colours on the dial is quite quirky, a second or third choice watch but not a watch for all seasons.
-
Nabbed this special little beauty for a nice price.

Haven’t worn this one in a while, forgot how damn beastly it is… and It could use a good cleaning.

@northsouthdenimguy I was torn between your model and the sea dweller 4000 when they first came out. Went to the store fully expecting to walk out with the deep sea as I love the face more. As soon as I tried it on though, I knew it wasn't going to work for me due to the size.
I still love them and wish I could have pulled it off.
-
It’s a beast, but after five minutes on my wrist I don’t notice.
My favorite of the sea dwellers is the SD 43, It’s my daily. I have a 2004 SD 16600 but it feels so tiny after the other two it also takes me a minute to feel comfortable.
I can’t imagine what the all gold deep sea dweller feels like that thing has to be ridiculous?
-
@Giles Hermes is crushing horology at least from a design perspective. I love that and also this:

@bluemantra love the numbering on that dial.
