IH-777S-21od - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Overdyed Indigo
-
I am grabbing a pair of these, but have a query for anyone.
My previous OD I got the OG yellow thread and it was too bright.
What thread color would ya'll suggest that seems more tonal? I was thinking black, but I got a recommendation for charcoal or grey.

I painted my thread with a black marker pen and its almost same tone as the od thread.

Hello and Happy New Year folks!
I need some help of collective denim intelligence.
My dilemma relates to the OD version of 777s-21, but I feel like this thread is way more active to start with.
So I've purchased the OD version of those jeans right before new year in size 34 (have the indigo as well in size 33 actually). The waist has been confirmed to be slightly below 87cm. In fact, the pair is rather 89-90cm. I can return it, no issues here, but unfortunately the stock of respective size is gone.
I feel like the rest of the measurements is good, like thighs and the upper part except for the waist. The waist already has some room to breathe (still comfortable though) and my worry is that after the stretch the upper block might simply be too big for my liking. I have 4 pairs of IH jeans, all bought with 86-87 initial waist, ending up with 89-90cm after few weeks of wear.
Wondering what do you think guys, should I keep it and wear with the belt or send it back (but might need to wait for a year or find elsewhere which I doubt)?
Attaching the photo of the ODs with the belt and without, as well the 1 year old indigo pair (might be a tad snug as I gained some weight in the legs since purchase, but still comfortable).
Many thanks in advance.

@Eternit13 FYI I have moved your post to the OD thread to avoid confusion. I'm sure someone will chime in with some constructive advice

They look good to me but it's about how you feel. I don't think they will get alot lower since you are not applying pressure to them but I can also tell.you that the 21od stretches quite a bit if needed. Pictures look good.

Looser I meant. Sorry for the typo

Hi @Eternit13 … for my two pennies worth, I think the OD fit you really well, as do the non OD. Im sure every single one of us on here has been guilty of over-thinking things, but belt or no belt, Id personally be happy with a fit like that.

You are right, they won't given the fabric will mold better to my body probably (at least this is my experience with indigo ones). Indeed, my only concern is not to lose those on the go

Thank you for your reply. Maybe the reason of over-thinking is that the indigo 21s was my first pair of IH jeans (I was coming from slimmer more like 555 profile) and I've got used to this tapered look since then. Actually my older pairs now look too slim below the knee Amazing, how the fit perception changes.
