Visvim
-
Visvim launched in 2000 and are known for their interpretations of (mostly) recognizable styles of footwear but made with unique, "high end"
materials. They are no joke expensive, especially new. I've owned maybe 12 pairs (5 currently) and they're the best shoes I've ever owned. They also make clothing, bags, and other accessories these days but other than seeing them in stores I don't really have any experience
with them.Where/how to buy them: They list stockists on their site. In the US, Union Los Angeles (http://www.unionlosangeles.com/) has
the best regular stock and makes good buys every season. They tend to sell out super fast, though. Otherwise, Japanese proxies and Yahoo JP
auctions are your friends. People should feel free to post other sources, etc. Some resellers (please do your research before buying from them):

various forums.– Some common models you may have seen, this is a drop in the bucket of what they put out --

Glad you started this! Was going to do it for you as I know your time is precious. Now drop some Visvim knowledge on us!!!
Does anyone have a pair of Kiefer (US11) in any style they want to move? Been wanting a pair for years but the price point scares the shit out of me…

best shoes you've ever owned seals the deal for me.
think i'll go on a hunt as well. . .
-
And they also do clothing if you were not aware…
-
i can do their shoes & bags.
the clothes, thank god, would not fit me

Lando - I hope I did you a little proud with the opening presentation. Just trying to follow your lead.
I'll take some pics of my ish later this week. I have a couple pair of Logans (Elk, soft as f*ck), a pair of Yucca Mocs (which I think I'm going to sell because I don't wear them much), and a couple pairs of Virgils.
I'm serious when I say Yahoo JP Auctions are your friend. I got both Logans for about half of retail, even with proxy charges. Kiefers
are pretty common on there. For the most part, the outerwear is dope but really pushes me as far as $. The varsity jacket they just had for F/W almost made
me poop my pants it was so nice. Then I saw it was more than 2Gs…I'm currently looking for a pair of the Lauda Kiowa Folk, but they're a bitch to find:

Only a fool knows the price of everything, but true intelligence is measured by those who understand the value. (Lecaeur)
great tip on the Yahoo JP Auctions

If you feel like paying OTA, HB from HK has a good selection of the new stuff:

I wouldn't suggest it unless desperate.

Check with Union, they had larger sizes last time I talked to them… just be ready to pay retail. If you find 'em in 9.5, lemme know!
Yeah I saw that. Just have to wait it out for my day in the sun. Looks like you grabbed your pair thanks to aki! Let's see some flicks…

I wear either cp or visvim logan lo most days. I take a size 42 in cp and 9 in the Logan lo, if anyone needs a size comparison.
I was surprised to see that the visvims were made in china and were glued instead of stitched. Also, the glue job seemed a bit sloppy. I haven't worn them enough yet to test their long term quality. Otherwise, I really like them.
I would like a pair of kiefers but the retail price is way too high. I'll be in la in a few days so I may have to have a look at them though.

I await you analysis Dr. P!

I own few pairs or visvim shoes but the earlier launched shoes are mostly made in Korea and the quality is been good. It does not fall apart when I wear them again after putting aside for maybe around 1 year or more. I have to agree the price shoot up quite a lot till I have to stop buying their shoes as they are going over-priced.
